This is not one of them. At least not in regards to his piloting.

The Rolling Stone piece put his behaviour after/around that incident in a not so positive light, but you will get shot down rather quickly if you try and paint him as responsible for the accident, though.

He did not cause the fire on the Forestal. He was indeed right in the middle of it, but he did not cause it. I saw the "Fire on the Forrestal" video so many times in the Navy I could almost narrate it myself.
