1. According to Wikipedia. . .
. . . that was about 1983. He'd left his crippled wife for the beer heiress, moved to AZ, ran for a seat in the House, and one of the first things he did was oppose creation of a day to honor MLK. My attention span pooped out about that point, but I'm suffering so much McLame overload, it doesn't really matter if he did anything redeeming between then and what's left of his supposed honor today. :eyes:
