Or so says this post back in 2004.

Goes to show this race is dramatically different than it was four years ago.

1. Thank you for this bit of history. Is Obama at something like 80 now?

3. If the polls are right, it's hugely different
If the polls are wrong, it's exactly the same. I hope and pray the polls are right.

4. Bush was a small favorite throughout 2004
Both on Intrade and the fixed odds betting sites. Here's a link with some good info and charts, although it was during September 2004. Kerry was apparently the small favorite to win the popular vote during mid summer, although I didn't remember that, but Bush remained the electoral favorite:

5. Kerry had a decent summer.
The Edwards pick, coupled with the Democratic Convention really bolstered Kerry in the summer of 2004. However, Bush came out of the Republican Convention with a lead he would not relinquish.

It sucked, but I had a feeling all throughout September, October and very early November Kerry wasn't going to pull it out. To compare, Obama has now led for over a month in every single national poll and most of that falls between 5-7 points!
