Does anyone else have the GIANT Republican campaign sign problem?
And I mean that quite literally. Here around Washington, almost every single Republican campaign sign I see is HUGE. At least double or sometimes even quadruple the size of the Democrats' signs. Is this supposed to be some form of subtle oneupmanship? Dino Rossi's campaign signs are so big that they're framed with wood and mounted about five feet in the air. I haven't seen a regular-size Rossi sign anywhere. The same goes for a lot of the Congressional candidates as well.

2. That and perhaps proclaiming their sheer hatred for the environment.
Those signs are preposterously huge. Here in Lacey they're passed a new ordinance about the size of signs not being over 10 sq ft in size, so then the Rossi folks make three 10 sq feet signs into one HUGE sign instead. It's ridiculous.

9. they are bad. like that guy with the big Uncle Sam billboard
on I-5. Just a bunch of GOP nutters up there in the outlying metro region of Seattle. Rossi may have lost by only a hair's breadth in 2004, but I think he'll get his clock cleaned this time around.

Yes. Drove by that one just yesterday, in fact.
The offering was: "Is there a barcode and a number on your secret ballot?" And on the other side it said: "If you can't define 'Republic' don't vote."

And that was tame for them.

16. I loved his false choice one. "If the US is the greatest country
in the world, why change?

lol. Apparently he doesn't want to acknowledge there is a point in all empires' histories where they are still technically the 'greatest' but also clearly in decline.

It is all just so stupid. But some entertainment on my drive between Portland and Seattle along with the 19 mile "construction zone" speed trap around Chehalis and the goofy tall sculptures/monuments somewhere around there.

18. It's weird country down there, that's for sure.
I make the drive to Portland every couple months or so. That construction is nasty but hopefully the third lane will improve things. I loathe that drive. It's a yawner.

19. Oh and I see the "Why change?" argument several times of late.
It's the ostrich argument. Suddenly they feel like nothing at all needs to be fixed. It's the most patently absurd against Obama I've seen, other than the ones regarding his race, religion, and association with Bill Ayers.

and big lameassed Northup EPIC FAIL signage.

McGollum signs though tend to be small, they have window stickers the size of a quarter.

5. One thing I just want to ask them. Does size REALLY matter in this instance?
It's just disgusting, really. I can't wait until they are all GONE next week.

7. The BIG signs are compensating for something else that is SMALL....
You know the drill with insecure Republicans.

12. I'm up in Bellingham
we see them too, mostly out in the country here. Driving down to Everett the other day, they practically assulted one along every highway exit. Strangely enough, most of them are for everything from Gov to dogcatcher but very, very few McCain. There were a few HUGE Ron Pauls around until recently (usually surrounded by tiny Ron Paul signs as if they'd been propagating), but they've slowly dwindled. I can't wait for next week.

There's a big Obama sign near downtown, but that's OK :D

17. I too have seen very few McCain signs...
Only in the last couple weeks, and they are the small ones attached to the gigantic Rossi ones like you mentioned. It's actually pretty funny in its symbolism. Almost as if it's being done as an afterthought.

I'm in California and the GOP Congressman Elton Gallegly has signs all over the place, a couple of them really oversized.
