Will it be an unprecedented moment of joy?
Think about the moment that Barack Obama is declared the 44th President of the United States. This will probably happen on Tuesday the 4th, possibly on Wednesday the 5th.

Imagine how you will feel in that moment. Feel it completely. Absorb it.

Then multiply that feeling by millions and millions.

Has there ever have been a moment before in this world where so many were united for such joy? We've been united in sorrow before. We stood by each other, literally and figuratively, in hard times before.

But this will be different. This will be a time of optimism and relief and exuberance. It will be life-changing, not just for Americans but for the whole world.

Has that ever occurred before on this level? I honestly can't think of anytime in history that it has.

3. Yes, except . . .
Al Gore was once declared to be President.

So I guess it's going to be hard to believe, when I first hear it.

4. Yes, but...
We won't take a theft again. And it seems to me that that know that. I think even they know better than to try that again.

5. The first Moon landing, maybe?
It wasn't so much about standing on the Moon itself as what it represented about humanity, and the message of peace the astronauts brought with, claiming it for all mankind.

But it's possible Obama's election may be an even bigger moment.

7. That's a good point. I can only see one difference:

while that was a fantastic achievement that represented much, it didn't personally affect everyone. I was only 3 when that happened, so maybe I'm wrong, but this is about everyone's future, not just the few astronauts.

And, was there immense joy at the moon landing? Again, I'm not sure, it would be interesting to hear from those who were old enough to remember it.

we'll all wake up the next day and see Mt. Everest in front of us. On the bright side, we'll finally have the chance to begin the ascent.

9. Oh, I'm the first person to say our work begins on Nov. 5th, not ends.
But we have that opportunity, the chance that was stolen from us before. That will be the difference.

10. Not joy, but retribution...
Time to make the Repukes PAY. And never stop paying until no one knows what the word Republican used to ever mean.

11. I don't think that's what it's about.
That will get us nowhere.
