6. And THIS is what Scummy fucking Rumsfeld has to say about it
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040907/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq&cid=540&ncid=1480

During a news conference at the Pentagon, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld sought to play down the impact of the milestone, saying the "civilized world" had long passed the 1,000th death at the hands of terrorists.

8. American Media should be tried for war crimes at the Hague
For letting the junta get away with mixing IraqNam with terrorism. They have peddled this claptrap to the destruction of an entire country (IraqNam) and this will lead to the invasion of Syria and Iran in the next couple of years.

This is the most insidious, deceitful, amoral media the world has ever known, bar none. Pravda was a bunch of girlie-men compared to the U.S. media.

The blood is on THEIR HANDS

7. I have a feeling that more people will start to care, especially when
idiots like Rumsfeld try to tell the public that we are winning the war over there. The same war that bush* strutted around the decks of an aircraft carrier declaring Mission Accomplished. The public is getting sick of this, they can see that we're just getting in deeper and deeper every day, with no way of getting ourselves out.

All the war talk about Iran and Syria isn't going to go over well with most of the public either. Finally the young are starting to wake up and worry about being drafted for the eternal wars that these guys have planned.

And I don't think that most of the military brass are backing this assclown anymore. They can see that he has all the gradiose plans and no way to pull them off. As for the lifetime intelligence personnel, they're the ones who are trying to get the dirt on these guys and their treasonous actions. And believe me, I don't use the word treason lightly. The policies of the bush* administration are based on lies, the perversion of intelligence (OSP), lack of any kind of military planning from the people who knew that this would happen and didn't swallow Wolfie's scenario about the Iraqis throwing flowers and singing songs (which was absolutely the most obscenly ignorant statement ever made). The wheels are about to come off the trolley, and all we have to do is make sure that everyone makes it to the voting booth, and then watch the returns VERY CAREFULLY. They can't steal another one and not see the majority of the people in this country roll over and take it like we did last time.

Throw in the economy, outsourcing, 48 million without health insurance, etc., you've got the perfect formula for seeing these clowns go down in November.

9. I fear that the blood lust of Americans is not sated
I think they will revel in and glorify this death and that it will give Chimp a fucking bump in the polls. I predict Rove/Bush, et al will use this death as a milestone in a godawful and vicious way to promote further jingoist claptrap.

This country is on a bloodlust high very similar to Germany in the 1930's

I wish I could believe people would be horrified and put off, and many will. Unfortunately, just as many will eat this carnage up, like they ate up "Passion"
