2. Good to hear about Gregoire
Frankly, Rossi is running some damn effective ads out here right now.

If Gregoire wins she'll have Obama to thank BIG TIME.

5. That's good news about Chris Gregoire
I've been sweating about Rossi. His commercials are just awful and are constantly on. Even in my very liberal area there are far too many Rossi signs for my comfort. Gregoire is not popular and Rossi's running a nasty but effective campaign with the low info voters.

7. I don't think she'd stand a chance for re-election if Obama wasn't running so hot.
I think Burner is another one in that situation. She could knock off Reichert despite not really running all that great of a campaign.

Obama's coattails are just mammoth.

18. Yeah, I've been worrying about this too.
It's like the opposite dynamics of the national race - the R's are all fired up to vote for Rossi, while us D's want to keep control of the office, but don't really love Gregoire all that much. I've been hoping that with the closeness of the polling, Obama's coattails would push her over the edge, but it's good to see her breaking away a bit.

Here's to hoping the Republicans go back to nominating Crazy Church Ladies, and Radio DJs again, instead of superficially competent and reasonable weasels like Rossi.

6. I agree. He's got a lot of money to spend.
I think he unfortunately suffers from being a complete douchebag.

8. He totally is, but he's running some wicked effective ads.
The machine behind Rossi is VERY good.

Thank Qat, Obama is carrying Gregoire.

14. It is so very important to keep Rossi out of the Governor's Mansion.
He won't stop in Olympia, if he ever gets there.

15. Very true. He has national aspirations for sure.
He also has rather devious plans regarding redistricting here in WA.

26. I have been disappointed in Gregoire's campaign
In fact, I called her campaign headquarters last week and expressed frustration at her lack of response to Rossi's crazy mail fliers.

Thanks goodness Obama is kicking McBush's ass in WA :applause:

And yes, if he was not so strong - she would be history.

4. We need LOTS of good vibes for Chris Gregoire - Dino Rossi is a slimy thug.
He is trying to run as the candidate of "CHANGE", and even has billboards saying "Voting for OBama?? Olympia needs real change too! Vote Rossi!" That guy stands for everything we're against, and is a right wing, anti-choice, anti-environment, freak!

I believe that Obama is doing great here.. the car stickers are like 100 to 1 everywhere I go. Of course, I drove over to Bainbridge Island yesterday (my favorite nearby escape) and the stickers were like... 500 to 1.

9. "Slimy thug" doesn't even begin to describe Rossi.
His ads feature child molesters and arsonists, for fucks sake!!

16. He's slimier then Mitt Romney.
I never thought it would be possible to find a right-winger who was, but Rossi is.

12. Rossi is testifying in court today about some of the corruption
in his "machine." That will also help Gregoire.

19. thank goodness....
I had the honor of seeing some of the best ladies out there this weekend. Gregoire, our Sen Murrey (she's so tiny :), Cantwell, the Gov's of AZ and KS. And let me tell you that is class power. It was so inspiring to see them all up front at the end and holding hands up in victory. And I didn't bring my camera.

I'm in a red district, and Snohomish County went for Rossi last time. I was canvassing but I was getting lots of "throw the bums out" split tickets. Yes Obama, Yes Rossi. Note this was not our base, but leaners and Independents.

But Rossi has got to have pissed off all the Tribe members, all Labor, All Teachers, All goverment employees.

He offers nothing new. Washington is going to be leading the nation is Green Tech and we need Obama and Gregoire to lead the way.

More calls and door knocking this week. But this poll is hopefull.

but alot of people I talk to are sick of seeing him on television all the time, even people who are not enthusiastic Obama supporters. Go figure!!!

21. I worked with the Gregoire people and signs were not big
Infact in the Everett office we never had enough signs for those who requested them.

Have heart..I bet in Spokane they will even break for Gregoire. That tribe add that the Building Loan association played over and over until we are all so sick of it has pissed them off.
