All I've heard today from the news organizations is how Palin is being subjected to sexist remarks. specially the following:
1. Anyone attacking Palin about her wardrobe budget is being sexists.
2. The McCain aid who called her a "Diva" made a sexist description.
First of all I'm a women as are the many who feel the same as I do, who think that "jane six pack" is a hypocrite for traipsing around in clothes worth thousand, shoes worth hundreds and a movie star budget spent on her make up. It has nothing to do with gender, it's a slap in the face to everyone out there, men or women who Palin tries to appeal to claiming she is just a regular hockey mom, whens he walks out in clothes worth more then most of them make in 5-8 years. In this state of economic struggle, she flaunts the waste of donor money on frivolous purchases, when she could have easily went to a mid range department store, like JC Pennys and spent a 1-2 thousand on a new campaign wardrobe that would have looked just as nice.
Second claim of sexism, calling her a "Diva". How is that sexist? I heard Campbell Brown said this is a label given to women who are strong, independent and buck against authority. And Campbell was proud of Palin for throwing off the shackles of the McCain campaign who have held her down. I'm sorry but "Diva" represents a PERSON (man or women) who thinks they are "god's gift", they think they are deserving of special treatment and often throw hissy fits if they don't get their way. There is nothing enduring about being a "Diva"
In fact when looking up the word, wikipieda gave this response: (Copy and pasted word for word)

"The term is often used with a negative connotation (ie: Sarah Palin). This derives from the implication that a star who is a "diva" is arrogant, difficult to work with, high-maintenance, manipulative, fussy, highly strung, privileged and demanding. He or she does not believe the law and accepted rules of courtesy apply to him or her. Professional singers and actors often use this term to describe someone who desires the stage spotlight over others. The term "prima donna" has similarly entered common usage with exactly the same negative meaning, likewise the ballet equivalent prima ballerina." _____________________________________________________________________________
As I type this I'm listening to "Team Sarah" on Larry King and they are all raving lunatics (and not cause they are women). The opposition on the panel is trying to explain to them that the polls show Palin's popularity has dropped horribly. But they just kept yelling how popular she is on the stump and everyone loves her and she will be the new face of the GOP. Everyone time someone said something against Palin whether it be true or they all freaked out, to the point Larry had to tell everyone to shut up and talk one at a time.
So why is Palin off limits? Why aren't people allowed to dislike her or see her in a negative manner without being called sexist?
