No signs of any odd McCain supporters with backwards letters are their faces yet.

And you still have time to get some pie.

4. Well it's not like I've got anything else to do....
... no little hamsters for me to watch? ;)

Did you see Marcellas on Geraldo Rivera the other night slamming Palin for her shopping trip? He did't have a problem with her spending the money, but apparently "spending the money and looking like THAT!"

Shades of him slamming Lori in her the cut off overalls.

(Please excuse Nancy and I for having an obscure converstation about the TV show Big Brother that no one else understands lol)

Marci also got into a myspace "argument" with James Whine about politics.
It was pretty funny

(He is still an ass even though he is an Obama supporter...)

7. Clio the Leo, Hope and Change, and JoeIsOneOfUs.....all of them....
...highly trained to pick up the slightest sign of an impending Obama or Biden address.

...always ready to quickly inform DU of the pending address, providing links and enthusiasm.

...how do they do this? Nobody knows, nobody....but, to all of them we must say:

Thank You!!!

15. lol well see...........
..... I got to the Obama website, check out the daily events, and keep my eye open accordinly.

Fortunately I was off today and caught the "Closing Argument." Darned work usually gets in the way though. Because of the darned economy, they had to cut hours back at work and I thought I was gonna get to spend even MORE time this week watching speechees. But sadly, no, because stupid me sold too much yesterday, they gave me some more hours!!

DOAH!!! I'm gonna simply STOP trying to improve the economy until this election is over! ha ha

10. Kicking, and: If you're at a laptop or desktop with shitty speakers,
Use earphones/headphones!

I listened to Biden and Obama using earbuds for the first time--It was much more like being there and less like TV.

Well worth going to find them, I think there's still time....go get em!

21. Rooneys are the greatest

As an old time NFL fan (Bears), I must say that the Rooneys are some of the greatest people to ever EVER be involved in pro sports.

Art Rooney (Dan's father, and an icon) was a GREAT man. He'd typically walk around the streets and just give money to people. I also believe that Rooney stayed in the same neighborhood until his death, a neighborhood that had become run-down somewhat over the years. That's a HUGE risk to take, but Art did that.

Art Rooney also had for many years what most considered the worst team in professional football history...until the 1970s, when a great man was finally rewarded for his patience and heart. I did NOT like the Steelers in the 1970s, but I am SO HAPPY for Mr. Rooney that he enjoyed the success he richly deserved.

ROONEYS = Greatest owners the NFL may has ever seen

how cute! One of my nutwing friends is a huge Steelers fan. Torturing him with a pic of that will be as much fun as it was torturing my nutwing Redwings fans was a few months back.

25. "Pittsburgh," not "Pennsylvania
Anyone looking for a sign as to how sharp Obama and his team are in regards to knowing the territory: Notice today how he is addressing the crowd as "Pittsburgh" rather than by the state name. People here, including in the surrounding region, consider themselves to be from Pittsburgh much more so than from Pennsylvania. By contrast, earlier in the day, the Canton crowd was addressed as "Ohio."
Little stuff adds up to a lot.
Was just over in the Downtown area, and you wouldn't believe the crowd around the Arena all afternoon.

31. Thanks, rschmitt..Nice pic of the crowd!
"Addressing thousands of screaming partisans in the Mellon Arena, Sen. Barack Obama delivered what his campaign called a "closing argument" to the campaign that ends in just over a week."

"Partisans"? How about supporters?

Welcome to DU, rschmitt!

32. That man is AMAZING!!!
I'm still nearly speechless after watching Barack and the crowd at the arena this evening. BF called a little while ago, told me that he saw the Obama 757 land at PIT (he works there). I MUST touch his eyes when he comes home tonight! I told him to wave to Barack for us if he sees the Obama plane take off.

This is nearly over! I'm totally psyched!! Barack Obama and Joe Biden are it!!!

I'm working on my list for November 4th...Pie (oh, yeah), get the flag ready to fly as soon as the announcement is made and extra kleenex because I'm going to be crying tears of joy this election (not tears of disbelief, anger, frustration, sadness).

Barack :bounce: Obama :applause: Joe :bounce: Biden
