MY election night plan. do the polls look good today?
i am planning on looking at 1 solid mccain state and one solid obama state. i will pick rhode island and south carolina. i will look for the margins. if obama is winning more than kerry did in RI in 2004 i will know its a good night and if mccain is winning by less than bush in SC it will also be a good night. then i wil keep watching.

any good poll news today? please only post good news. i dont even want to look at other threads, hehe

1. There are so many polls to keep track of it's not even funny anymore...
...but I would say that essentially nothing has changed--except for the fact that McCain's own state of Arizona is now looking fairly pink.

5. I can say the polls have tightened in NC. I still think we're goin' blue
this year in NC.

We're getting a lot of visits from the candidates in this last week.

4. If Obama wins three of Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio and PA it is all over.
If he wins two of them it will be a longer night but probably still a comfortable win.

If he only wins PA it might be a very long night but he still will likely win a close race.

If he loses all of those states, McCain will likely win.

I am betting on the first scenario.

13. All of the various maps look quite good. The bottom line is Obama has a lot more ways to win than
McCain does. McCain pretty much cannot win now unless he can knock off Pennsylvania (and even then he still would probably lose) and Obama has been holding a steady lead there the last couple of weeks. There was a little weekend movement in some of the tracking polls towards McCain but that almost always happens in the weekend polls (Since 1992 I have noticed that tracking polls seem to move Republican on weekends. I think it is an artifact of the polling process).

11. I was being sarcastic. I could care less about those two polls.
What negative polls have you seen? There is really nothing out there.
McCain isn't winning, not by a long shot.

16. I will turn on the tv with the volume muted around 10 pm eastern time ...
if I see a Bush state in blue- Virginia hopefully - then I will cheer and keep watching. Otherwise, go watch a movie and check in afterwards.

25. Are you intentionally obtuse or just lazy?
There are plenty of answers on this thread. Go to one of the sites that aggregates polling data:

http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/
http://www.electoral-vote.com/

Do you need someone to interpret this for you, or do you understand that bigger numbers are better than smaller numbers?
