McCain: There's no money for you, people!
I don't understand how McCain thinks taking a 'less spending' approach is going to be get him any votes. It's highly probably he wouldn't touch defense spending so it's all going to come out of programs that benefit people, whether education or social spending or healthcare. The onel-liner for his policy seems to be something along the lines of, "We just gave Halliburton and the banks a lot of money - there's nothing left for you."

On top of that, we're all Keynesians (that's still true, right?) and per Keynes, the government should increase spending in a recession, not decrease it.
