Election Night Dinner? What's Your Special Menu?
I will be preparing Steak & Salmon with roasted red-skin potatoes, baby carrots & broccoli, salad and fresh baked bread. For desert, a chocolate silk cheesecake with cool whip and white & dark chocolate curls... and to drink some very special Kool-Aid; Progress flavor.

What will you be preparing? I still need a appetizer; preferably one that includes republican tears.

Ever since then it's been stuck in my head for election day.

A couple of steaks for my wife and I, and a Bloomin' Onion.

6. No kidding? Well, that will make the steaks taste even better when I watch Obama win.
:D

If I ate out according to who donated to what, the only place I'd ever go to is Starbucks.

3. Something easy for one person and two dogs.
My daughter will be working in the election, volunteering for Obama in Missouri I think. My son, who does not live with me, will be working on his job covering the election. So I will be here alone hoping that nothing goes wrong, like the dogs knocking me down and me not being able to get up, something happening to my kids, something health related to me and hoping that Obama takes it in a landslide.

11. Saw her twice in NYC a few weeks ago.
She had a few choice things to say about Sarah Palin, which was sweet justice given that the first night we were seated next to two women from Long Island that went out of their way to tell us that they were big Palin fans.

19. Wow, that sounds good(!).
My hubby works that night so my girls and I will have our traditional Tuesday night burritos.

I'm making phone calls for Obama earlier in the day and then will be home with the kids by 4 pm, turn on the TV and watch until we cheer for Obama when the final results are in.

24. It'll depend on whether darling hubby has to work that night...
If he's working, I'll probably just do an omelet and salad for myself. If he's off, I'm thinking broiled salmon, roasted asparagus, and saffron risotto, with apple cranberry walnut pie for dessert. Champagne on ice!

definitely dessert will be PIE from our local pie shop that has been featured on Oprah and the Food Channel: http://www.just-pies.com/index.asp

Probably cherry, since that's a favorite, but maybe coconut cream...
