-- CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO GUARD VOTING RIGHTS

-- CITIZEN PROTESTS DEMANDING ELECTION OVERSIGHT AND VOTER PROTECTION

-- ABOLITION OF THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE

Issuing a call to restore the sanctity of the vote after the debacle of the 2000 election, Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr. and U.S Representative Jesse L. Jackson, Jr. (D-IL) will appeal to citizens to protest the continuing existence of the Electoral College.

Accompanied by members of the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as experts on the election crisis, Rev. Jackson will seek a meeting with President Bush while offering specific information on what citizen initiatives are underway to place voting rights under the protection of the U.S. Constitution, rather than at the mercy of states' rights.

2. I have seen posts with eliminating the electoral college in the
subject line but have not investigated the subject. Can someone give me the jist?

The Electoral College sucks! Like the chimp is going to throw away his chance to steal THIS election? Me thinks not. :(
