You MUST see it! Check the other threads that mention OB-GYN.

58. Here is one of those doctors. - His court case.
Here is the judgement against a doctor in Alexandria, Virginia who fathered children with at least one of his patients each month from 1976 to 1986.

In early 1992, Dr. Cecil B. Jacobson, a physician, was convicted

of 52 felony counts for mail fraud, wire fraud, travel fraud, and per-

jury. See United States v. Jacobson, No. 92- 5406, slip op. (4th Cir.

Sept. 3, 1993) (unpublished), cert. denied, 62 U.S.L.W. 3717, 3722

(U.S. May 2, 1994). These criminal offenses stemmed in part2 from

Jacobson's misconduct in implementing a fraudulent sperm donor

scheme in which he injected his own sperm into his patients instead

of the promised sperm of the patient's husband or an anonymous

donor during artificial insemination procedures at his fertility clinic,

Reproductive Genetics Center, Ltd. St. Paul Fire & Marine Ins. Co.

v. Jacobson, 826 F. Supp. 155, 158 (E.D. Va. 1993).3 As a result of

these activities, which were brought into public light by the 1992

_________________________________________________________________

1 Jacobson and Reproductive Genetics Center, which Jacobson owned

and operated, are the named defendants in the suit before us today. We

refer to defendants collectively as Jacobson.

2 Jacobson's criminal convictions involved various schemes designed

to lure patients into his fertility clinic. See 826 F. Supp. at 158 n.2.

3 Jacobson admitted that he intentionally inseminated patients at his

clinic with his own sperm approximately once a month during the time

period from 1976 to 1986.

22. Oberman is the man -
Oberman is the one who ran the clip of Bush and his posse at the ranch before the convention. Bush was rambling on about something (who listens?) and just behind him, in plain view of the camera - the whole time Bushie is talking - there is Barney, the stage prop dog, taking a dump. I prefer to think of it as Barney making his own political statement about that dude. Oberman ran it four times that night in an one hour show.

OBGYN can't love the women? Think Bush is trying to give a subblimimimal message to Laura?

62. second time
It's the second time he's singled out OBGYNs. He specifically mentioned them in his acceptance speech at the RNC last week.

My guess is that he singles them out because he thinks it gives him points with women, though I don't know why it would. I personally find it creepy.

What I think is so disturbing about this gaffe/Freudian slip is that it shows that when he thinks about OBGYNs his mind immediately jumps to "love" (read: sex?) rather than medicine. It shows that he thinks about women as sex objects rather than as human beings like him.

He's GOT TO BE trolling our board, looking for ideas for stories! He's the only broadcaster who routinely presents stories about the things we spout off about here. I loved his story on the polls ---- why weren't other news casts doing that perspective instead of regurgitating the parties' talking points???? CNN is still reporting the 11 point lead with straight faces. From Keith's story, I now understand why Carville today was agreeing with the 11 points---Carville is one smart cookie!

A very effective anti-bush ad would be a montage of this and other clips, like the "fool-me-once" clip, and there are a couple from the Letterman show, like his wiping his glasses on a lady's jacket. There must be tons of them.

Or would that be too mean?

56. Years ago, Olbermann did local sports coverage on CBS in Los Angeles
He came on after the weather and was the sports coverage anchor for KCBS-TV in Los Angeles. He also had a local 30 minute Sunday night show recapping the week in sports. He's always had a very wacky, weird, and intelligent sense of humor. It was always clear that he was far more intelligent than the average sportscaster meathead.
