Outside groups target voters in battleground areas

WASHINGTON (AP) — MoveOn.org and a health advocacy group are criticizing Republican John McCain's health care plan in a new television ad that's part of the organizations' $1 million effort in North Carolina.

Their move comes as a conservative group has bought $250,000 worth of airtime in several presidential battleground states to raise concerns about the appointment of liberal justices to the Supreme Court — without mentioning any political candidates.

The MoveOn ad, called "Fighter," features a woman with cancer who questions whether she'll have coverage under the Republican presidential candidate's health care plan.

"He wants me to fight cancer and the insurance company? Fine, I'll take you both on."

Good ad that should give people something to think hard about.

If employees are taxed on health benefits, then the employer won't offer health benefits. Why not?
