Before I get into the details, which are equally disturbing, take a moment to look at this picture.



Ok, I was a boxer as a teenager. I've seen my share of fights and beatings. When someone hits you hard enough to blacken both your eyes you do NOT look like that the day after or that night. The first problem is the swelling, there is NO swelling. A punch to darken eyes like that would occur either directly to the nose or perfectly on the eyes. In most cases where both eyes turn color, the nose is actually broken. Her nose? PERFECT! Not a scratch. No swelling under or over either eye, both eyes are exactly the same size and shape. That's not natural. Next we have the color. When you get a "black eye" it doesn't turn black like that for a few days. Even then, it's not quite that pronounced. 24 hrs within an attack her eyes would be puffy and RED/PINK, not black. It takes a while for the blood to settle in, which causes the blackness. I'm not sure what to say about the B, other than that doesn't look like "carving" to me. That looks like scraping, with a fingernail, for a long time.

OCTOBER 23--Shortly before a John McCain campaign volunteer was reportedly robbed at knifepoint and had a "B" carved in her face after her assailant noticed that her car carried a McCain bumper sticker, the woman blogged last night that she was "Stubbornly searching for a bank of america to avoid ATM fees" and had somehow ended up "on the wrong side of Pittsburgh." Ashley Todd, a 20-year-old Texas college student, told cops that she was robbed of $60 by a 6' 4" black man who weighed about 200 pounds. Todd claimed that when her assailant noticed the McCain sticker on her vehicle, he punched her in the head and carved the letter on her right cheek (a battered Todd can be seen at right). Shortly before the reported 9 PM attack, Todd updated her Twitter page with a post noting that she was, "Stubbornly searching for a bank of america to avoid ATM fees." Soon after she reported, "Pretty sure I'm on the wrong side of Pittsburgh." Three hours after that update, Todd wrote, "Oh the blog I will be making soon...Its been a rough night." A screen grab of Todd's Twitter page--which was linked from her page on a College Republican National Committee web site--can be found below. At about 6 PM (est) tonight, Todd's Twitter page became protected and was no longer publicly available.


So let me get this straight, a TEXAS college Republican is somehow wandering around the "bad" areas of Pittsburg (that would mean black) and blogging about it for some unknown reason. She finally finds an ATM (Not a Bank of America ATM btw) and gets mugged by a SURPRISE SURPRISE, BIG HUGE BLACK GUY. Not only does he take her money, but he also sees her McCain Bumper Sticker and because he's a BIG SCARY BLACK MAN WHO LOVES TERRORISTS he punches her face in and carves a B into her cheek upside down.

Of course, no one witnesses it except her. Video tape from the ATM Machine? News at 11! Probably just her driving up and getting money out. Though maybe she'd already gotten done fucking herself up at that point?

EDIT: If the attacker noticed the McCain bumper sticker on her car, wouldn't that indicate that she was inside the car when the mugging took place? So she would be in the drivers seat? Her LEFT cheek would be facing the attacker, not her right.

I've broken my nose and gotten a similar black eye. However, there were major differences. The bruising would be much more symetrical on each eye. The upper eyelid would also have more bruising. The main problem that I have is that the nose shows no damage! WTF?!? This would be impossible.

Also, a hit to the nose that would cause so much damage would certainly break it, an blood would be everywhere. I'd like to know if the police witnessed blood on her shirt or on her hands.

Pittsburgh law enforcement sources tell TMZ they have serious questions about the authenticity of the alleged victim who says she had her face cut by a politically-motivated attacker.

We're told there are several things about the alleged attack that don't add up. A Pittsburgh PD official says they are conducting a "thorough investigation" and have not determined if the alleged attack is real or a hoax. But we're told there is definitely a level of skepticism.

As we reported, the alleged victim claims she went to an ATM and when she turned around, a large dark-skinned man took the money she withdrew. She says when he noticed she had a McCain/Palin bumper sticker on her car, he became enraged, knocked her down and cut a "B" in her face.

We're told the woman refused medical assistance at the scene and said she would go to the hospital the next day.

Area where the alleged attack occurred is not that bad an area. She's an idiot first off that I'm not aware of any Banks of Americas in Pittsburgh. I'm out of town on business this week so I don't know what the weather was, but normally that area of Bloomfield is busy on Liberty Ave with restaurant and bar trafic at that time of night. Most Pittsburghers are the type that would come to the aid of someone being mugged. And I can't remember any drive-up ATMs in that section, just walk up on outside of bank.

I could buy her getting robbed. I could buy her getting slugged by the robber. But I can't buy on a a busy street he'd take the time to carve her face and that no one was around to intervene.

She said (this is from the police report) that she was at an ATM, and was attacked from behind after being robbed, becuase the guy saw her sticker and said "I"ll teach you to support John McCain!!" Then she said that she was punched in the head from behind, and the guy started kicking and punching her as she lie on the ground, then he carves the B on her face. Now mind you, he originally held a knife to her throat.. but delicately carved a B in her face with his fingernail leaving not one cut in her skin? Hmmmm.. Also, after her attack (from the police again) She did NOT know the area, but went to a friend's house nearby. Then her friend drove her around looking for the ATM, but all she knew is that it had a "green sign" over it. So.. she gets mugged, and she and her friend drive around looking for the ATM in the "wrong side of town" (according to her on her twitter or blog) She knows where her friend lives "nearby", but doesn't know how to get back to the ATM she just left?

It would be almost more believable if she had NOT just arrived in town to volunteer for McCain (she had mentions of phone banking later in PA for him.) So much does not add up. I understand now why TMZ is saying that the Police are starting to question her story.

If you were a young woman beaten and kicked by a large man, I'd think your first call would be 911. Regardless of where you are.. you call 911 first. As I said, the ATM may show that she was robbed... but the rest of the stuff? How he managed to do a perfect backwards B on her face, and not cut thru her skin? And a B?
