Palin and the "Redneck Woman" song sure backfires on her ass
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 06:18 PM by rainbow4321
Ummmm..think she listened to the lyrics at ALL??? Let me guess, she just went by the song title. I had a massive "WTF?????? moment when I heard she had the song performed at her rally, in the midst of the $150,000gate. Cuz it's one of the songs on my ipod that I listen to on my way to/from work each day. **I** know the words to the song.
Parts of the song
"I buy my clothes at Walmart," "never been the Barbie Doll type".

Palin:
“Someone called me a ‘redneck woman’ once. You know what I said back? ‘Thank you very much!’”

At an Ohio rally, Gov. Palin asks for an autograph from warm-up singer Gretchen Wilson, known for her song “Redneck Woman.”

Palin: “Someone called me a redneck woman once. You know what I said back? Thank you very much!”

Politico’s Jonathan Martin: A Palin moment “that will play much better in ‘real Virginia’ than at any Georgetown cocktail parties.”

1. Taking "Redneck" as a compliment is the same as taking "bitch" as one
At best it means "ignorant hick"

'Course, in her case...

2. She's such an idiot
I bet "redneck" means a ""racist, ignorant asshole and proud of it" to her.

Not the "rednecks" who own, oh say a struggling working farm, or live in towns where the main industry has been shut down-- the rednecks who stretch meals when you come over and insist you eat. I know a few like that, and they're not racist, they're not ignorant, they're only assholes to those who deserve it, and they're voting for Obama
