My neighbors took their McCain signs out of their yard!!
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 06:00 PM by DeepBlueDem
I asked my neighbor across the street while getting my mail, "Whats going on?"

He said, "Im ashamed to be a Republican" I said "Why, what happened?"

He Said, "from Michele Bachmanns comments to the RNC paying 150 grand for Palins clothes! Im pissed and ashamed. The RSCC pulled their support from Kennedy(Repuke Senator running against Landrieu here in LA) and they want to use that money for her. Thats Bullshit!" Then he asked have I voted yet. I said,"Im just getting back from the polls, yes the lines are long but no machine problems yet."

He told me,"Im voting for Obama tomorrow morning!!"

Reports from WWL predicting 70-80% of registered voters voting early.

:woohoo:

1. Good to see there are still those who truly...
DO put country before party, instead of just making it a sales pitch.

18. It has to be that and I also think that a lot of 'undecided' voters are
seeing the polls and want to be on a winning side - I know that sounds ridiculous, but I think it happens more than we know.

32. I see two very big examples of that every day.
One is a business near my home that had a 4 x 8 Bush sign for Bush in 2004, 2008 nothing.
The other is a business near my work, same story!

What is WWL and why are they so far off? Maybe 33% of voters will vote early.

12. I have some neighbors who did the same thing recently.
They had a big sign on their garage and one bumper sticker on their car. The sign on the garage and the sticker disappeared about a week ago. I was thrilled not to have to look at them every day. I hope that means they are voting for Obama, but it could just be McCain shame!!

23. That's funny because last week I think it was, I noticed the first
McCain sign in my neighborhood a couple of houses down the street. But it was only out there for two days. Then it disappeared. I assume they took it down.

they can't bring themselves to vote Obama and they can't stand McCain either.

I can't convince them otherwises and am grateful that they just won't be voting.

33. Same with a coworker..
I told him he should vote anyway, even if he can't vote Obama. I suggested Bob Barr. Of course he didn't know who Barr was till I explained he was one of the leaders who impeached Clinton. "Oh", he smiled, "that is a guy I could vote for!"

13. Good news! I don't have one McCain sign on my country street...
...but no one has anything out...even local candidates...

I've got my Obama / Biden car magnet, and have had several neighbors comment, but nothing angry or anything! :~)

A young girl going around selling stuff for school said her parents did early voting...and voted straight Democrat, yay!

15. Yeah... wow... Obama doesn't need to do anything. He can just watch them self-destruct
People might poo-poo Obama saying that he's just lucky but I think there's actual skill in knowing how to set up a situation so that the enemy falls on their own sword and also knowing when to get out of the way during those times.

17. Yow! That's awesome
Hell, maybe the Republicans will explode far enough, that the ones with some brains will be able to regroup and form a party worth a damn.

Anyway, great news!

McCain's "Real Americans".

That was incredibly bad PR.
