You are awfully sure of yourself. In my estimation, the 'wounds' she is exhibiting look fake-- just my opinion. I don't have your certitude. No, I have never had a black eye myself, but have had bruises and injuries throughout my life, including those to the eye, and as a female, have experience with eye shadow and charcoal eye pencil. Her black eyes look like make up to me. She did not submit herself to an exam, so we'll never know.

This is outrageous and demands further scrutiny. Also suspect are the blackeyes. Although real, the contusions are not reminiscent of a frontal punch as there are no abrasions/contusions above the eye socket (men have big, large knuckles) and the area around the eye socket is sensitive soft tissues. This woman is committing fraud via Munchhausen By Proxy and should be jailed for submitting a false police report/complaint. And the only reason WHY she would refuse to seek medical treatment is that she knows her story would not hold up under a physicians examination.

Not too different from #4 in OP. Especially since there is matching but lesser bruising under the other eye as well.

But the scratch doesn't look like it was done by a knife and the orientation does suggest self-inflicted.

Could be an oblique attempt to get back at an abusive partner.

I do not know if her black eye is real, much less a result of the attack she claims happened. However, as a person who has boxed, trained fighters, and attended hundreds of fight cards, I can say that many black eyes look just like hers's. However, her eye looks like what might be expected approximately 3 to 4 days after an injury was sustained.

different than any black eye that I've seen in 46 years of boxing. But, of course, I am not able to say it absolutely couldn't be from last night. Just that it looks like what I've seen many times several days after an injury. I base that on both lack of swelling, color, and the spread of what appears to be the bruising.

any good investigator is considering other possibilities. Of course, one possibility is that she is telling the exact truth. Another is that the black eye is real, but that her story is not.

For example, an investigator might question if there is a possibility, however remote, that this young lady is engaged in "attention seeking" behavior. People who do such things often engage in "cutting" behavior, which is often marked by superficial "wounds" that are visible for others to see. The backwards "B" on her face, for example, looks to be rather carefully done, rather than the work of a vicious thug with a knife.

Reports that I've read indicate she has spoken with police. Had her eye not been bruised, but rather was colored by "make up," I think they would have taken a tissue and cleared that up. Now, it is possible that they have other reports of a backwards B-carving robber attacking people on the streets. Or, it could be that they are going to take the approximate 36 to 72 hours it usually takes to get people with certain personality problems to come clean.

I have seen people notice her obviously smudged from crying/wiping make up, but that wasn't something asserted by her or police. While police mention she was pushed down and kicked, the only specific injury referenced is the scratched B.
