Is Kitty Kelly Really

Credible......???????

I think we are spinning our wheels just hoping that this book will be the device that will finally place the doubt in many swingers and loyal Bush supporters...

I say we stay focused on the real known issues between Kerry and the other guy and dont give much credence to this book....Frankley I think it is a opportunity for the repugs to say we are just a bunch of looneys and desperate.

Stay focused now that we have Carville on the team.

1. Don't put all your eggs into one basket ?
is probably good advice... But Kerry will stay on the issues and leave this for the gossip mongerers.

2. Don't think this is a case of either/or
Kitty Kelly is who she is. We're not slinging this mud. (As opposed to */Rove who are slinging mud.) We don't have to let go of the issues.

3. The repubs say we're looney and desperate? Why? The Kerry team
didn't write the book. The DLC didn't write the book.

Kitty Kelly wrote the book after speaking to acquaintances and a former sister-in-law. This is not a democratic project. But it is funny. Can you imagine the bush* family freaking out about all the books hitting the shelves this month that show them as a bunch of amoral (it takes brains to be immoral) monied white trash?

I love it.

5. Doesn't matter
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 04:06 PM by LunaC

Just like the SBV slinging their dirt, it will still have an impact inasmuch as EVERYONE will be talking about it ad nauseum. Let the chips fall and may the multitudes take a good hard look at the underbelly of our "Fearless (Cheer)Leader".

13. Exactly
The book will give the more adventurous reporters the opening to ask Bush about his past drug use again, just like talking about Vietnam gave the Swifties the chance to spew their hate.

It doesn't matter in election politics if something is true or not--it simply matters whether the voting public and media are talking about it or not.

Sad but true.

7. Are CNN, ABC, NBC, FOX and the other 24 hr Swiftboat stations "credible?"
Credible shmedible.

There is no such thing anymore when it comes to "stories" about Kerry- so why not turn the tables?

I say we play this up through surrogates as best we can and let Ms. Kelly defend her own investigations.

The big difference being, most of this stuff about Bush is probably true!!!

10. Loony & desparate? Democrats didn't write the book!
I don't understand the concern here, Kerry certainly didn't write this.

12. This book might not NEED our help!
Kitty Kelly has a loyal following of people who think the Enquirer is journalism. These stories will get out to people who NEVER watch the news.

14. Even Carville snuck it in during today's Crossfire
so he is not distancing himself from the book. Not sure how credible her research is, but I read the Sinatra and Liz books that she wrote and must say, they read like a novel---you just can't put them down. No, I don't read the National Inquirer, just have an inquiring mind, lol. I think all rules have gone out the window, and Dems are not the ones who stomped on them first. All's fair in love and war, and babies, this is war. War for our country's future.
