North Carolina Republicans send out homophobic mailings against Democratic Senate candidate Kay Hagan.»

The North Carolina Republican State Executive Committee has sent out homophobic mailers targeting Senate candidate Kay Hagan (D), who is challenging Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R). The mailings warn that Hagan seeks to advance a “radical homosexual agenda” that includes legalizing gay marriage, removing “Under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance, and forcing the Boy Scouts to accept gay and atheist troop leaders.

This seriously needs to stop and I hope North Carolinians not only show Elizabeth Dole the door, but with one mighty shove, push her OUT!

ETA: if you can find it in your pocketbook, please donate to Kay Hagan:

2. Republicans are vulgar monsters
The Republican motto should be:

Republicans - we know hate!

8. How do they unsoil the republican image or will they even try?
The entire party has some serious soul searching to do and then when they're done doing that, need to haul in a massive dumpster and just start chucking the garbage right out of the party.

They allowed hate and fear to rule their agenda, it worked so well for them.

Nothing like a little divide and conquer, lots of theft and deception as well as catering to the radical fringes and greedy neocons to win you elections.

They forget we are the many and they are the few. 2008, I pray, will be the year of the many!

4. This is when you just see how UGLY Republicans are on the inside
Dole could just campaign on her own and try to let voters know that she is the best candidate for the job....or... she can stoop to the lowest of the low road and bring jingoism and homophobia into the mix to somehow get the most negative thoughts voters can have to vote for her.

5. It'll be nice to see the day when my community, the gay community
can no longer be used as a threatening tactic. Some day, some politician will have the courage to stand up and tell the United States, enough is enough, we must change the laws that treat the gay community as second-class citizens (whose money and voting bloc we always court but never stick our necks out fully to support).
