Oh NO!!...Now it's "Entertainers for Buxh"!! *snicker*
Battling the "Hollywood Left" crowd, this group of well known performers have banded together to support GDub.

Scanning their "members list" I see a lot of magicians for some reason. (There has to be some jokes there)

http://www.entertainersforbush.com/

Their own "research" has also revealed a list of "celebrity support", including Founding member Pat Boone and this guy:...."Lynyrd Skynyrd-rock star". And I thought he was a gym teacher.

Great pic of the webmaster and Sean Hannity on the home page. (Sorry though, he can't help them)

...This post was a toss up between Campaign '04 and the lounge, but it's good to lighten up a little on Sunday afternoon.

No offense, but I've not heard of ANY of them! Seems to me that they are mostly "local" talent.

with the exception of the few listed in Las Vegas, most would seem to have day jobs or go hungry a lot.

These entertainers are planning a big Pro-Bush concert/event in October. However, the manager of the Holiday Inn in Fargo, North Dakota is seething mad over this, he claims he'll be "damned if I'm gonna lose all my headline acts for that week! Who the hell do they expect me to get to replace these stars- am I going to have to book the Lennon Sisters for that entire week? That'll cost me some bucks!".

Damn, sounds a lot like a crooked accountant to me.

Coulda called himself a "financial chef" and sounded at least as honest.

Website looks like a patchwork of stolen graphics mixed with bad Word clipart.

I gotta love reason #3 for joining them: "YOU MAY RECEIVE FREE PUBLICITY" I guess if whoring for *Bush isn't enough, whoring for yourself at the same time is a good deal.

If it weren't for the DU /. effect, I'd bet his hit counter don't go past 3 digits.

Ha, ha. You really made my day looking at those websites. I'm voting for Bush, that stellar group of entertainers pushed me over the edge. When I saw that a bass guitarist of a band that is playing at something like the "Hungry Crab Tavern", was one Bush's supporters, then that did it for me. Too funny!

Sorry, I'm having a hard time believing he's dumb enough to support Shrub. I'm not into his music, but he's a very smart man. If he does, or says he does, I'd bet, with no evidence of course, that he's doing it just to annoy the Republicans who hate him.

Come on, this is the man who said some of the most intelligent things in Bowling for Columbine.

Ted Nugent-Rock and Roll star

In what decade? Certainly not this one. Ted is busy touring the County Fair circuit.

The rest of that crew is hapless.

Word of note...COncerning Johnny Ramone...he and a couple other punk artists (guy from the Dickies and one from the Misfits if im not mistaken) are being championed by young rightists in a new (lmao, choking) movement called "Conservative Punk" which is an oxymoron.

Whatever the case...If they want a "ROCK OFF" then bring it on. LMAO

33. He was always a prospect for the Republicans

Their music is among the most shallow in the history of rock n roll. Songs like "Love in an Elevator" and "Rag Doll" are not only boring, cliche', but completely empty of intellectual promise.

"Blowin' in the Wind" it is not. Entertainers that thrive on insipid cliche' oriented music are very solid candidates for the right...Kid Rock is another example.

Take artists like Dylan, Bruce, REM, Bad Religion, folks artists, etc...these folks pen lyrics that border on brilliant with a deep coviction to write highly intellectual and/or inspirational lyrics.

It's a far cry from "Boot Up Your Ass" Battle Hymns, but far more impressive. I'll take "our" entertainers ANY DAY OF THE week over that bilge from the right.

IIRC this was on WorldNetDaily--a piece written by Johnny about how haaaaard it is for a Republican punk rock musician to be taken seriously.

Johnny, the fact that "Republican" and "punk rock musician" are mutually exclusive terms may have something to do with that.
