The new RW complaint du jour: "Obama is buying the election!"
They were shrieking it on Fox and Friends (Faux and Fiends) this morning.

I thought that's the way the free market was supposed to work! Supply and demand. What's the problem?

Boy are there going to be some heads exploding on election night. I'm going to pop some popcorn with my daughters and we are all going to watch as a new era is ushered in. I can't wait.

:bounce:

:woohoo:

2. No, Obama is NOT "buying" the election.
3,100,000 American citizens are buying the election.

8. Obama, that damn CAPITALIST! John McCain using public funds!
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 09:55 AM by Democat
John McCain the socialist is running his campaign on public funds while Obama the capitalist stimulates the economy with his self-funded (by voluntary donors) campaign.

10. Boo fuckin' hoo.
I admit - I feel a bit like a Yankee fan right now in this position - but I'll surely be playing the smallest violin I can find to provide music for their pity party on November 4.

12. Sure he is, using our small donations -- so, the American people are buying the election.
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 10:00 AM by damntexdem
The GOP is just upset because they thought that only the rich and corporate elite had the rights to bid on the election.

13. Two douche nozzle bloggers in the LA Times keep writing
anti-Obama hit pieces, the latest from today:

"Having hauled in a record $208,333 every hour of every day last month -- $150 million in all -- plus a few more unreported millions so far this month, Barack Obama is worried that he might come up short in the political money war with the John McCain-Sarah Palin ticket.

Just to relieve himself of that $150 million before the polls open, Obama will have to spend $12.5 million a day.

But he needs some more."

Who ARE these idiots?? http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/10/obama-money.html
