Bill Schneider just daid Bush got a 2% bounce from convention.
Lowest in recent history. He used the numbers before the convention 50% Bush 47% Kerry. After convention 52% Bush

It's the same bounce Kerry got from his convention.

What ever happened to the conclusion that there just aren't that many undecided voters?

7. These Bounces On Both Sides Are Phony Because Of The Baseline.....
Unless everybody did their poll when the convention began and when it concluded it makes no sense...

8. Of course, but what would the media do without a daily poll?
I even heard some talking head on CNN today say that their poll was taken on Thurs & Fri during the convention and right after, so the one today was probably more accurate. I had to yell at the TV...Then why'd you take the damn thing????

9. One thing that just wasn't adding up for me was the number of
people who viewed the RNC compared to the DNC. They got about 2 million more people watching then us. That just didn't seem to jive then with a massive 11 point jump. If 2 Zillion more watched their hate fest then I could see it. But there was something so very fishy about such a 'bounce' from just an extra 2 million.

10. That's my problem with Mary Beth Cahill.
Even yesterday on the morning talk shows she was going on and on about reaching the undecideds. This strategy needs to be ditched.

You go for what you believe and attack your opponent for what you
believe are his failures and forget about the undecideds.

The undecideds may be voting on who they think is the best looking
guy. Or they may be voting for who their friends and neighbors are
voting for. They are a small group this year, and there no way to
define them.

Going after NEW voters is the only strategy that will produce the winner this year, because turnout is going to be great.
