Why the fuck should people from KY be blocked from putting a few $ on their credit card to go on PokerStars while being allowed to blow $10,000 at racetracks? I don't know why the Dems tolerate these tyrannical fucks. Any "Democrat" who opposes Barney Frank's position on this issue should choose betwee expulsion and silence.

You are on Barney's side or you are for CENSORSHIP just like the motherfucking religious right and the GOP!

1. Here's Your Answer....
From the link above:

"The governor has called the sites "leeches on our communities" that hurt Kentucky's signature industry, horse racing. He said Kentuckians spend "tens of millions of dollars" a year on illegal Internet gambling."

This isn't about the internet gambling leeches...it's about the local horse racing gambling leeches. Heaven forbid that "tens of millions of dollars" a year would NOT go to the horsie set. I live in KY...horse racing only exists for the gambling. I know there are a few souls who love to watch horses run but most people go to the track to drink, bet and hope to be seen as part of the in-crowd, at least here in Lexington. More business meetings at Keeneland during October and April than any where else. Pretentious and greedy.

In case you can't tell...not a fan of horse racing or of the horse racing industry.

2. Me neither...
I'm from Ontario, and while I have no restrictions on my right to play poker online, the government recently banned everyone other than the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and the horse-race tracks from advertising money gambling. The site I play on, PokerStars, is regulated by a Mohawk reserve near Montreal Island and has the most robust set of tools and options to help with problem gambling that I've ever seen, either from a government or a private gambling enterprise. Furthermore, it's much harder to play private games in pubs or for a pub to put on a no-rake tournament than it had been before due to heavier law enforcement (And the fucking Tories say we need more cops and have framed the issue in a way that everyone else has fallen over themselves to agree with them...If cops have time to stop people from playing poker or smoking pot, then I say we have too many damn cops.). We're turning into Texas or something.

In Germany, you can't make credit card deposits to play poker online, but you can piss away generous German pension checks at the horse racing tracks.
