WTF is up this AP poll? Obama and McInsane tied???
Where in the fuck did this one come from??? This seems insane, given the other polls I've been reading about today.

AP presidential poll: Race tightens in final weeks

By LIZ SIDOTI – 3 hours ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — The presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll that shows McCain and Barack Obama essentially running even among likely voters in the election homestretch.

The poll, which found Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent, supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race narrowed after the third debate as GOP-leaning voters drifted home to their party and McCain's "Joe the plumber" analogy struck a chord.

Three weeks ago, an AP-GfK survey found that Obama had surged to a seven-point lead over McCain, lifted by voters who thought the Democrat was better suited to lead the nation through its sudden economic crisis.

The contest is still volatile, and the split among voters is apparent less than two weeks before Election Day.

8. They have to start selling it as a horserace - so it's perceived to be "close"
enough to STEAL - so they can STEAL it (again) and so when they do, we won't revolt.

17. Doesn't the AP become the voice of the vote tally
on election night? Seems like I remember everything has to go through the AP

24. I'm going to do some research on this
At some point, before everybody gets too giddy about the Obama win, I'll post my crazy experiences from the 2004 election. It's very involved and depressing truthfully. But maybe things will be different this time. Anyway, I remember something about the AP really being the final nail in the coffin if you want a fair election because every result goes through them.

9. They managed to find a wacko right-wing group of people. Look at how many born-agains were polled.
Don't even think about it. It's meaningless.
