Send Obama's grandmother a get well postcard
From Crooks & Liars
" C&Lers are invited to send a get well message in the form of a postcard from your hometown (postcards are easiest to deal with) to the Hawaii for Obama office and they promise to forward to Grandma. (h/t commenter Seattle Tammy commenting at Morning Martini.)

Again, postcards are easiest since they don't have to be opened, and the photos from across the country will certainly cheer her up!

Mrs. Madelyn Dunham
c/o Obama for America
Honolulu Headquarters
1050 Ala Moana Blvd Ste D2690
Honolulu, HI 96814"

1. K&R - Will do...
We have every reason to thank Obama's Gramma, Madelyn Dunham, for helping raise Barack to be the man he's become. The least we can do is to flood her with good wishes at this time.

4. Honestly, I will cry my eyes out if she doesn't make it to see her grandson elected
McCain would probably say her reward is in heaven but I sure hope she gets a sneak peak of it here on earth.

5. I know. I just keep hoping that the campaign

and the outpouring of appreciation and love for both of them brings her more positive energy than stress.

8. My Grandma broke her hip about two weeks ago
She's 88 and will be in the hospital and rehab centers for a long time. An injury like this is very hard and I feel for Obama's grandma. When an elderly person is used to being somewhat independant it is as hard on them mentally as it is physically.

10. You sure that's a great idea?
No details released about her condition, other than it being "grave". Should she really be close to the end, don't know if it's appropriate to be bombarding her with postcards. Maybe a donation in her name to a good cause is better.
