Don't look now, but Texas is on fire!
And it is a blue fire!

Through three days of early voting, Harris County has voted 126,394 folks in early voting. Add to that the 34,527 mail-in ballots that have been returned, and that gives you a total of 160,921. Is that good? Well, we have increased our numbers each day. In 2004, Harris County voted a total of about 450,000 (early and mail-in). We are going to shatter that number. Right now, we are about 80% over our 2004 number.

And the news gets better. A local news station noted that the location of the early vote has shifted - to the city core - home of, you guessed it, a few more democrats. :) I especially likethe title to the segment:

Early voting may suggest shift in parties

4. Harris County--2/3 of E-V have a Democratic voting history!!
This in from Alan Bernstein's Houston Chronicle blog:

"Early voting: They are watching you!

The names of the people who vote early in Texas are public record. Each day the Harris County clerk's office provides the list of voters to at least 15 people who have requested them. Each person must pay $60 total to get the list from the 12 days of early voting.

Here's what they do with the lists: If you voted, they cross your name off the roster of voters they want to contact before Election Day, Nov. 4. Doing so saves the campaigns precious resources.

They also use other databases to see you if you have a history of voting in the primaries. This way they can take an educated guess about how the voting is going so far.

Here's what they know: About two-thirds of the record-smashing, high-volume early vote in Harris County supposedly has been cast by people with a Democratic voting history."

21. You bet.
I loved visiting your beautiful state during the primary. Mrs. TVOR and I showed up for three days in Durham in early May to go door to door before your primary. Had a great time and were awed by the enthusiasm. Ya'll go get 'em!

22. Thanks for your hardwork! We're seeing the payoff in the early voting. Record breaking
turnouts just about everywhere!

I regret not getting on board the Obama Express until later in the primaries but have been doing much talking and convincing since then.

Go Texas and Go North Carolina, we'll give 'em a run for the money!!!

16. yes, it's pretty amazing, but the GOP is already cheating at the polls in Texas
They're sending people to polling places to tell prospective Obama voters to vote for Obama AND hit straight ticket, which will likely get the vote UNCOUNTED.

The whole GOP game at this point is stopping Obama people from voting by asserting registration issues or ID issues, or stealing the actual vote counts.

The GOP is fully capable of stealing the election, even with it obvious that McCain is losing by ten points.

But, yes, the news is good on the turnout and voting.
