That's not true, they are just marginally doing their jobs by at least pointing out clear and present BULLSHIT from the McCain camp instead of just letting it float out there.

They are NOT, I repeat NOT, doing any investigative REPORTING on John McCain or Sarah Palin. How can it be negative coverage when MOST of your dirty secrets stay SECRETS?

A commentator's opinion is some how negative coverage? Um, no, it's his opinion. If reporters were REPORTING on things like Gordon Liddy, AIP, etc, then yes, they would have something to worry about.

But they have their surrogates on television every day. They are at least given an opportunity to spin any commentary their way.

At least they don't have to worry about actual REPORTING.
