Obama's voice
Is it amazing or what. What Sarah 'the nasal screech' Palin and George 'I can't enunciate the correct syllables' Bush lack, Barack more than makes up for in quality sound. Obama's voice is cool, it's calming, it's natural, it's hypnotic, it's simply amazing to listen to. It's so sooooothing.

If anyone knows of a candidate with a more distinguished voice than Barack Obama, please let me know. If anyone knows of a candidate who has all the right mannerisms when he speaks, please inform us. It isn't just that Barack was born with such an amazing voice, I believe his incredible brilliance lends to the way his words come out so forcefully and so pleasant on the ears at the same time.

His voice is just one of many amazing resources from his incredible arsenal of assets.

1. Yes. I have always loved the sound of his voice.
He could be cussing me out, and I would still love it. He makes even the mundane sound inspirational.

2. Unlike sooooooooooooo many, he's real and that's what we hear, his open-ness resonates.

18. Yeah, but come on, Barry White was only sexy if you closed your eyes.
Now, in terms of Barack Steve......one gets the voice and one can also keep ones' eyes wide open!

Just sayin'! :)

27. No.....but I watch Barack give a speech with my eyes open.
I haven't tried what you are talking about with a political speech in the background.

I don't think hubby will go for that one! :)

4. There was a sadness in Obama's voice today even though he
was great as usual. I think his Grandmother is on is mind. He wants her to live to see him win. Approval is something in human nature that we all desire from the people that nurture us through childhood to adulthood.:dem:

13. I really noticed that.....
watching that Ellen interview video.

You could just see this wave of sadness go over his face....
when Ellen talked about his grandma...

I'm sure this must be so hard for him.

26. I have admired his voice on tv, but when I heard his voice in person, I realized how POWERFUL it is.

It's very commanding. And then you hear, nasal nose McCan't, and you see why he doesn't inspire.

on edit: sorry, meant to reply to the OP.

28. Yo - it's OK to respond to me too. I heard his voice in Greensboro a few weeks back
and I know what you mean. Very commanding, very powerful, very much in charge.
Tomorrow:
Joe Biden in Winston-Salem. I have special access because I am housing a Kay Hagan supporter to hopefully oust Liddy Dole.
Can't wait. I LOVE Joe the Senator, and have for a long time.

10. I feel it, too...
There are so many qualities about him that resonate on basic emotional levels... I also have never seen a candidate bond with kids the same way... They love him, look him in the eyes, and signal their trust in him. As Simon would say on American Idol... "He's got the IT factor."

;-)

15. People prefer men's voices that are deep. That's why most voice-overs and spokesmen...
are...men!

If he had a voice like Kucinich, he wouldn't be where he is today.

the show "24" (can't recall the name of the show he's on now) has a GREAT voice. Very reassuring.
