WTF ARE OBAMA/DEMS DOING TO HIT BACK ON THE ROBO CALLS AND MAILERS??????
I am so sick and F-ING godamn tired of my party refusing to BLOODY the SCUMBAG LYING Grand Old ASSHOLES !! Once again I received hate-mailers and hate-calls (this time from Rudy THE ASSHOLE IN DRAG FUCKNUT Giuliani) smearing our guy Obama. Again I called the Obama people in my area, and again I was told "We are trying to run a positive campaign." I tactfully urged them to hit back hard. I myself have called and left damn TOUGH messages for the Executive Director of Maine Republican Party who is sponsoring a lot of this shit. I also today sent her a ripped up smear mailer with a strongly worded letter about how this only makes me give more money to the Dems and that my and I will NEVER EVER consider voting R at any conceivable level of government. Now, why can't Obama/Dems do the same. At least come out with hard hitting ads debunking this crap and whacking them with some truth about how desperate they are. But nothing. And then they keep asking for my money. When are they going to BLOODY these assholes, right between their F-ING eyeballs. Get on YouTube and watch old clips of Truman and JFK. Those DEMS knew how to run !! They put the shit to the R ASSWIPES good and F-ING hard. (Thanks for listening to my rant, but I'm just a little pissed and want my party to grow some balls once and for all !)

Assimilated German Jews thought Hitler was an aberration in such a cultured nation. They thought if only people ignored him he would go away.

Controlling the media is the name of the game right now....and discussing Ayers for another week wouldn't be good.

9. No, but there are many ways to hit. Simply send out ads calling McCain "desperate and using Rove""
tactics, and then pivot to him not wanting to talk about the economy, then talk about the economy.
It can all be done without once saying the name "Ayres." Also, the new robo call attacks Obama on crime. And, it is all CODEN RACISM. Look at it closely. It's RACIST !!

16. After the hundreds of bucks and countless hours I've given to this party and campaign, I certainly
will not "chill the fuck out" when I see ASSHOLE REPUBLICANS doing this shit. Are you a ball-less Democrat too? I say again, YouTube Harry T. and JFK, and learn something. They're rolling in their graves over how spineless all too many Dems are today. Not that Obama and Biden haven't used some tough talk. They have. And there have been some good ads taking McASSWIPE to task, but MORE is needed. YOu never, ever, ever sit and take this shit. Our Senate candidate Tom Allen is going to lose up here. Why, because he was a PUSSY when the right wingers hit him in August with a smear campaign, and he has refused to attack his opponent, Susan Collins, who is one of McASSHOLE'S Maine
campaign co-chairs. If he wasn't a PUSSY, he'd be ahead. No. He's a PUSSY, so she is beating the crap out of him in this environment by double digits. We have a choice with the party. STRONG or PUSSY WUSSY NICEY WICEY which gets us beaten hard every time. America wants STRONG leadership. I have personally put the shit straight to the Exutive Director of the Maine Republican Party. Would you like a lesson in how to do it?

attacks. find it, read it, it is good.

secondly, these campaign tricks mccain is using is damaging him and the party hugely. it is losing them votes right and left and having his own party do one of two things

1. calling him out and telling him to stop

2. the extreme in his party are jumping on band wagon, looking like lunatics calling more than half the nation not real americans, anti american, ect... and turning lots mroe people off and doing their own races in.

71. Here's one goper's answer to the mcpalin robo calls..
"Wisonsin GOP official denounces mccain robo calls"

<snip snip>

A longtime Republican State Senator in Wisconsin history announced on Tuesday that she would be supporting Barack Obama, in part because of the negative tone of the McCain-Palin campaign and, specifically, the use of "dishonorable" anti-Obama robocalls.

"All of us should be extremely wary of the half truths and outright untruths that have been spread by the recent negative campaigning and shameful automated phone calls," said Barbara Lorman of Fort Atkinson. "While my admiration for Senator Obama has grown with his positive approach to addressing the challenges facing our nation, my disappointment with the McCain campaigned has deepened. The negative tactics are inappropriate, downright dishonorable and have no place in the State of Wisconsin."

In issuing her statement, Lorman became the latest in a growing line of GOP officials who have publicly denounced the recent tone and tactics of the McCain camp. In recent days, Sens. Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe and Norm Coleman, as well as former Secretary of State Colin Powell, have all been highly critical of the Arizona Republican's efforts to tie Barack Obama to former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers. Lorman is not, obviously, of the same national stature as these other officials. But her place in Wisconsin politics makes her an influential voice in an important swing state.

The fact that she is a lifelong Republican -- she left the Senate in 1994 and, until recently, was the longest woman serving senator in Wisconsin history -- now crossing party lines is also of interest.

"I'm a lifelong Republican, but Senator Obama is the right leader for our country and will deliver the change we need," Lorman said in a statement released by the state's Democratic Party. "After taking a careful look at the qualities of both McCain and Obama and who would be best for our country, I found that Senator Obama's ability to bridge the partisan divide to work toward solid solutions that will get our nation back on the right track meant he is the right choice this November."

Have you read any of the polls? Why should Obama drop into the mud with McCain when the polls are showing an overwhelming disdain for the attacks against Obama.

Obama has been hitting McCain at his rallies. He's saying McCain is getting desperate, that he has no plans, no focus.

Relax. Obama gets his shots in. He just does it in a way that doesn't bring him down to gutter level with Palin/McCain.

his Escort, and their idiot friends tell despicable lies over and over but it seems to be hurting him way more than helping.

Is his crap getting traction that you're aware of? I'd think everyone would see the obvious desperation. They're making some wild statements about debunked stuff that wasn't apparently important until McShame got down late in the game.

You also forget that if we had the benefits of a real media that existed during the times of Truman and Kennedy then the last eight years would have at worst been largely avoided.
You have to play to win, I totally agree with you there but you do have to keep in mind that you must play the game in session to win.

Swinging for the fences and stealing bases isn't going to score you any touchdowns.

Now do you want a political party that fights (like Clinton in '92 with their WAR ROOM - man that was beautiful), or a wimp-fest? I'm not saying the Obama campaign hasn't been tough at all. This is the best I've seen in a while. But this hate-call/hate-mail shit needs to be answered, and there are ways to do it AS PROMISED BY THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN !! You sound like a lunatic. Obama is UP 7+% in Maine.

Do you want him to personally come to your house and filter your junk mail? Or shall he magically erase political rhetoric as it has developed over the last 30 years with a wave of the hand and your $25 donation?

The fight part is being a black candidate up 10% in the polls with 2 weeks until the election, if you haven't been paying attention.

But no. It's all about YOU and YOUR needs. Your post is among the most selfish swill I've seen on this website in YEARS. get some fucking perspective, pronto.

MILLIONS OF DONATING DEMS WERE PROMISED A "fight the smears" response from the Obama campaign. OK. The smears are here. They are here bigtime. Yes, right now we are ahead in the polls. Good. Yes, there has been, in general, a good campaign. However, here are the smears, and it aint over yet. So here I am, one of millions of Dems and Indys receiving all this crap in the mail and on our phones and waiting for the "fight the smears" campaign that WE, millions of US, have paid for and been PROMISED. And I don't see it. ON BEHALF OF THOUSANDS OF US HERE IN MY STATE I called my local Dems and and Obama people and get NO ANSWER when I ask what specifically is being done to "fight the smears" as promised. Is it "selfish"? No. I want the tough response for ALL of us. Is it personal though? DAMN RIGHT IT IS !! AND SHOULD BE FOR ALL OF US !! We have been promised a "fight the smears" campaign by the Obama camp and the Dem organizations. Obama come to my house??? What nonsense to chuck that out. BUT, do I want a tough response from the Obama camp and the Dem party against this hate-filled crap, DAMN RIGHT I DO. MILLIONS OF US HAVE PAID FOR IT AND MILLIONS OF US ARE TIRED OF THE WIMPY TRADITION OF RECENT YEARS OF THE DEM PARTY. (Though, as said, this cycle has been somewhat better than others, and I give plenty of credit for that.) Clearer now?

86. This election is not close

Did you like, wake up from a six month coma just a few days before the election or something?

Do you realize that Major League Baseball has agreed to delay the start of a World F-ing Series baseball game in order to let Obama purchase airtime for an October 29 final appeal?

Do you know, if the series goes to six games, how many people are going to be tuning in to see Barack Obama at that time?

Have you noticed that every time people simply confront the fact that he is a calm and intelligent yet passionate person, his poll numbers go up?

Your attitude seems to have come from spending six months accidentally locked in the pantry reading nothing but cereal boxes or something.

I've been a loyal Dem for decades and have worked the ground in NUMEROUS campaigns in my area. 55. 1. There was no name calling in the previous post.
2. I'm glad you gave money, but it shouldn't be conditional on gettign some kind of response to which you, personally, and you alone, approve of. you have to have faith that they know what they are doing. The proof of that is the success they have had. Had Hillary won, I have no doubt the campaign on our side would be just as ugly. And many people would be disgusted and stay home from the polls. But this campaign is about CHANGE, which means we destroy them with money and ads and a ground game which breaks their fucking spirit.

So cheer up.

Your money is being put to good use.

We're winning by doing it the right way.

Obama has countered every smear they've thrown at him, and is 10% up in national polls.

Your point is as worthless as your lunatic formatting.

59. THE GROUND GAME IS DESTROYING THE REPUBLICAN MACHINE.
Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 08:59 PM by SoonerPride
You don't have to fight fire with fire.

You can use an effective surround, section, suppress, and eliminate strategy, that leaves more property intact instead of carpet bombing the entire country.

They are playing chess and you want them to play mud wrestling.

We're not just going to win this election, but we're going to decimate the republican machine for the next generation.

Oull your head up and see the playing field.

We're wiping them off the map from coast to coast.

THIS IS HOW YOU FIGHT THEM. THIS IS HOW YOU WIN. IF YOU MAKE YOURSELF INTO A LYING MUCKRAKING MORON, THEY WIN.

Why?

Because then WE DON'T STAND FOR ANYTHING. To be credible, we have to LEAD BY EXAMPLE. And that is appealing. It's not just more of the smae crap spewed by both sides.

As Powell said, this is a transformative figure. We're chanign the way the game is played.

We've invented the forward pass.

54. The negative stuff is hurting McCain more than helping him

All of the poll internals indicate that with increased negative attacks by McCain, the only effect has been to increase McCain's negatives, while Obama's net positive has continued to increase.

The effect here is palpable and measurable.

McCain is caught in a Chinese finger trap. The harder he pulls, the more he's stuck. And there is utterly nothing he can do at this point to go back and re-deal the deck.

Voters by a significantly large margin have decided that he's got nothing to sell but attacks which they are tuning out.

He can tattoo "Ayers" on every voter's foot, but by a 2-1 margin, voters are more repulsed by Palin than they are at all concerned about the negative bullshit slung by McCain - and on which he has lost credibility.

They call Obama a socialist or say he's a terrorist and he blithely goes along and had 80+ offices in ALL THE RED STATES. That's not 80 offices total, THAT'S 80+ OFFICES IN EACH ONE!!

They waste their money on 20th century tactics like lame robocalls full of lies which 99% of people simply hang up on and mailers and expensive postage which people throw in the trash, menawhile team Obama takes over Kerry states, Bush states, purple states, and red states.

We are dismantling them once and for all.

THAT IS HOW YOU FIGHT THEM.

You outwork them.

Their ridiculous nonsense might have worked in the past. But you out-organize them and all they have left is petty lies and the public sees for themselves who is calm, cool, collected and who looks afraid, petty, and desperate.

THIS IS THE FIGHT YOU WANTED AND THIS IS HOW YOU WIN IT.

76. Well, look, truth sometimes hurts, but the plain fact is that too many Dems need to learn that we've
been beaten way too many times in way too many elections in way too many recent years because we've run wimpy, shitty, unfocused campaigns. Remember Willy Horton? Remember the Swiftboaters?
Obama is running a good campaign in general especially compared to others. However, we've got a SENATE campaign up here where we are headed for defeated for the very reasons I say here. No questions. WIMPY campaign. So call me "manly" if you want. I take it with pride. About time Dems grew balls again. Again, YouTube Harry T. and JFK. They'll show you the right way. Then you can mock them too as "manly men".

And I so totally get your point about weakness being associated with the word "pussy", and strength being associated with the word "balls".

Now that you put it that way, I suppose the Obama campaign should completely change tone and tactics because some wimpy-ass pussy is peeing his diapers over the fact that we are winning, and doesn't have time to read enough analysis about why the fuck that is.

My god... Hannibal sacked Rome by invading with elephants. Shit, we gotta get some elephants.

90. Did you miss Joe Biden talking about it?
Here in Nevada talking about it last week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6AKFIVYi94.

And did you miss this from Obama's fightthesmears.com site? Taking action: http://fightthesmears.com/articles/27/RoboSleaze.

I also just received this bulletin through Obama's MySpace page:

"The McCain campaign is flooding swing voters with "robocalls" -- automated phone calls smearing Barack's character.
They don't hurt Barack, but these dirty tactics hurt America by distracting voters from the issues that matter.
But just one phone call from you is enough to counteract dozens of these dishonest "robocalls." You can help a supporter find their polling location or reassure a voter who needs to hear the truth about Barack.
Our opponent's automated "hate calls," as John McCain once called them, won't reform health care or make our economy fair again. They will only mislead voters with lies and distortions.
The voice of a supporter like you will always be much stronger.
I hope you'll take the time to join us and make these important calls.
It's up to us to show that this grassroots movement will do what it takes to change politics in America.
Thanks for everything you're doing,

Martha & Scott @ Obama HQ"

Oh, and the campaign is unleashing a robocall response: http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/10/obama_camp_releasing_response.php

And if you think this campaign hasn't been playing tough when it needs to, you just aren't paying attention.
