Secretary of State rules against GOP objection to voters

Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller today ruled that voters whose registrations were on time, but incomplete or incorrect, may cast regular ballots after correcting their applications.

The legal interpretation was a response to a letter from Nevada Republican Party Chairwoman Sue Lowden, who argued that voter registrations that were not complete by the deadline shouldn't allow those people to vote.

Miller cited the statute that allows would-be voters 15 days to correct missing or bad information in their registrations, writing, "Nevada law provides the manner in which an applicant may update or correct the voter information, and may do so without losing his right to vote."

6. That's 3 for de mocracy. Settting a trend others won't want to buck.
Tomorrow in Indiana, let's hope this trend continues and the GOP give up these pathetic attempts at fascism.

8. Whatever the law says...
...I believe that it's the State's responsibility to register the intent of the voter--not the voter's responsibility to jump through ever-changing hoops to qualify for the "privilege" of voting.

If they tried to register, don't prevent them from voting.
