Chuck Todd talking on MSNBC about the unease in the room during the McCain/Palin interview
He was looking hard for words to describe what he felt about the vibes. Said that the two seemed uncomfortable around each other. That they know they're losing and that there was genuine discomfort.

Now saying that he can't emphasize enough how the body language spoke to the unease. (My paraphrase)

I mean - yikes almighty. It reconfirms that McCain had nothing to do with selecting her.

11.  Pulling a "Bullworth" that was interesting

I know he was talking about the open honesty of Bullworth, but there was so much
more to that movie.

Bulworth happily accepts a new campaign for the presidency right before he is assassinated before a crowd of reporters and urban supporters by an insurance representative, fearful of Bulworth's push for socialized medicine. The ending scene shows a homeless man (Amiri Baraka) repeating one final time to the camera the maxim he profferred to the Senator near the film's beginning, "Bulworth, don't be a ghost, you got to be a spirit."

15. Maybe Tweety needs to dream up his own movie analogies
I remember when he and Keith got into dueling analogies. Now Tweety thinks he has to keep going.

Depending on staff to do it for you can get him into a sticky mess with this latest.

25. That came from Chucky Toddy ...
I thought it was an odd analogy especially coming from Toddy.
Its like he and I saw two different movies. Chucky was I think a little unhinged
at what he had observed with Palin and McCain and even spoke over his boss,
Brian, the 'I love Rush Limbaugh", Williams. I wonder how Brian and Chucky get along?
I think that those two both like Rush.

14. McCain must go to sleep every night crying that he didn't pick Huckabee
I know I'm not supposed to say anything nice here about Repubs, but even though I disagree with most of what Huckabee stands for, he definitely emits a nice, friendly image and I can't help but think that if McCain was able to swallow a little of his pride (IMPOSSIBLE, we all now know...), the polls would be much tighter right now.

Too bad......not really!

I thought it was really dumb at that time to have McPanic sitting by McBubbles for the Couric re-do.

So I am glad that the Republicans are doing it again. Looks really bad. McPanic ready to clip any maverick comments in the bud.

23. speaking of msnbc, I've been watching too much of it--a weird dream I had last night
Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 05:02 PM by kekekekekeke
was about how David Gregory was infatuated with me while i was working for him. He didn't say so but you could tell he really liked me. I had an infatuation with him too for some reason in my dream. We had good chemistry together (mind you, this is A DREAM). Later, I'm running through the studio with my friends and find him making out with a rather large African American woman in a closet. I become let down, and the woman becomes extremely rude to me for interrupting. David Gregory rushes after me due to the woman's rudeness and tells me he's sorry. I later find her again and apologize, and she says that I should be sorry but we cannot look back, and just starts talking to me.

My friend then woke me up by calling me on my cell.

It was very strange.

29. McCain is probably
not just annoyed with Palin for being such a twit but for himself for not going with who he really wanted - Lieberman or Pawlenty. The GOP certainly got this one wrong. Shore up the base and keep the middle. The really underestimated the intelligence of the American people. They were counting on the middle being stupid.
