A knucklehead neighbor has a "Democrats for McCain" sign on his lawn
Thing is, in the last election he had a "Democrats for Bush" sign in the same place, and he still has a "W04" bumper sticker on his car.

So how long does one get to call oneself a Democrat while supporting the worst Republicans in memory?

1. Sounds like another McStunt
Using the old "Democrats for Reagan" meme, but really they are just Republicans putting up a sign.

7. "Racists against Obama" would be more accurate.
There is no earthly reason why a "Democrat" would vote for McCain over Obama. I can't think of ONE logical argument besides racism.

28. Funny you should mention that
In fact, every objection to Obama that I've heard so far can be reduced to one of the following:

1. Some general anti-Democrat position: "he wants to increase spending/raise taxes," or the like

2. He's not white

I've heard no one in the press or in ordinary conversation articulate any other reason not to vote for Obama.

They think they are making some kind of statement that will impact someone. In fact of all the people I know who have that sign, I am almost 99% sure they are all registered republicans..
edit for spelling

He's ASKING for an ass-beating. Not that I condone or promote such things, but seriously...is he thirsty? That's WORSE than just having a McCain sign.

Send him some serious bad karma vibes. Wait, I will, too.

21. Thank you all for commiserating! But I just re-checked the sign...
And it actually says "Another Democrat for McCain," as if there's a throng of erstwhile Democrats suddenly second-guessing their beliefs.

23. The Republican brand name has been severely tarnished. I wouldn't be surprised if people are afraid
of calling themselves Republicans, even if their views are almost exactly that of the GOP party. So, they'll call themselves anything but Republicans.
