My really nice friends watch FOX all the time.
The wife is voting for Obama. I am still not sure why. The husband is voting for McCain and when he talks sounds like a brainwashed FOX drone. They watch FOX all the time and today when I said to my friend that FOX isn't a credible source her answer was something like "Well, when I watch the news I have to believe its true...." That channel has ruined this country.

3. Sounds like my sister-in-law.
Hook, line, and sinker. She's a hopeless case.

4. I do know of Democrats who watch Fox for the news
They don't watch the pundits though.

It must be possible to watch it for the news without getting brainwashed!

6. Its put a hell of a dent in the country for sure
but its not the root of the problem. As far as I can tell there has to be a percentage of people that don't have the critical and independent thinking skills that would prevent them from falling for the propaganda.

There's also a chunk that want an echo chamber and just tune in to have what they already do or wish to believe "confirmed".

7. Wow
...her answer was something like "Well, when I watch the news I have to believe its true...."

Exactly the point.

FOX aint NEWS. It's puke propaganda.

Really, though. If she believes that Fox tells the truth, how can she possibly vote for Obama?

According to Fox, he's a Muslim terrorist who hates America, will convert the country to socialism or communixm the minute he takes office and outlaw christianity. Oh, and he eats live puppies.

9. Why is she voting for Obama?
Beats me. I think she thinks he is too old. I really think that is it.

8. My husband watches Fox every night
and he's an uber liberal. He likes to have all the reichwing talking points down to more easily counter the opposition. And it works. He's always one step ahead. The problem is, I get home and want to chill, and Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly is screeching in my living room. And I am not exaggerating when I say that Sean Hannity's face alone makes me nauseous.

11. A Nashville native co-worker of mine...
Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 04:22 PM by mgc1961
...who votes Democratic watched FOX regularly until about a week ago when she suddenly concluded that "they're Republican." I wonder if that was a slow realization or a sudden epiphany? About all I could sputter in response was, "You just figured that out?" Maybe it was her Kingsport, TN husband who noticed and pointed out the FOX agenda to her who she says has learned his lesson in regard to voting Republican.
