Ode to Sarah Palin
{1} Ode to Sarah Palin
Sexy Sadie what have you done
You made a fool of everyone ….
Sexy Sadie you broke the rules
You layed it down for all to see ….
Sexy Sadie oooh you broke the rules.

One sunny day the world was waiting for a lover
She came along to turn on everyone
Sexy Sadie the greatest of them all.

Sexy Sadie how did you know
The world was waiting just for you …
Sexy Sadie you'll get yours yet
However big you think you are …
Sexy Sadie oooh you'll get yours yet.

We gave her everything we owned just to sit at her table
Just a smile would lighten everything
Sexy Sadie she's the latest and the greatest of them all.

She made a fool of everyone
Sexy Sadie.
However big you think you are
Sexy Sadie.
--John Lennon; 1968

{2} Sarah, What Have You Done?
The Republican Party has spent $150,000 in upmarket designer stores on dressing Sarah Palin for the part of vice-president.

During September, more than $75,000 was spent in a single shopping spree at Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis, and another $9,500 at Macy's in the same city - scene of the Republican party convention where John McCain introduced Ms Palin as his running mate. Another $5,000 was spent at Atelier, a classy men's boutique, suggesting that Ms Palin's husband Todd, jocularly known in Alaska as the First Dude, may also have come in for some sprucing up.

Later in the month $50,000 was spent in forays into Saks Fifth Avenue in New York and St Louis, on a procession of neat little waisted jackets, pencil skirts, killer boots and patent heels that have enabled Ms Palin to appear in at least one, and sometimes two or three, new outfits a day.

The party also spent nearly $5,000 on hair and makeup.

{3} Sarah Made a Fool of Everyone

WASHINGTON (AP) — Asked by a third-grader what a vice president does, Republican candidate Sarah Palin responded that the vice president is the president's "team mate" but also "runs the Senate" and "can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes." ….

The vice president's main duty is to replace the president if the president dies, resigns, is removed from office or can no longer carry out his or her duties for other reasons. The Constitution names the vice president as the president of the Senate but allows the vice president to cast a vote only to break a tie.

The vice president, as a member of the executive branch of the government, has no official role in developing legislation or determining how it is presented to or debated by the Senate, which is part of the legislative branch. In all meaningful ways, the leader of the majority party runs the Senate. ….

{4} Sarah Broke the Rules

Sarah Palin is facing fresh allegations that she abused her power as governor of Alaska.

An investigation has revealed she charged the state for her children to travel with her, including to events where they were not invited, and later changed expense reports to indicate that they were on official business. …..

Other expenses included a trip to New York, where Mrs Palin attended a five-hour conference and stayed with 17 - year- old daughter Bristol for five days and four nights in a hotel. …..

6. Oh Sarah how many Senators did you bring down all by yourself

We love you Sarah Palin --- 50 EVs 3 Senators and 12 Congresspeople

You did pull AK into the safe McCain column though.

All day Saturday while canvassing Republicans couldn't wait to talk about how they don't like Sarah Palin.

7. I've had some
hilarious conversations while phone-banking. Palin is a ball & chain on McCain's campaign.

9. Thank you.
I got a kick out of Chuck Todd's description of McCain and Palin in the same room .... he said there was "no chemistry," and that it was like having two strangers sitting next to each other.

In another two weeks, the tensions that have developed between the two (and their camps) will spill over. I think it's safe to say that Palin will strike first, blaming McCain for their humiliating defeat.
