I agree with Thom Hartmann this a.m.: I'd like to see

5. wrong Clinton for Supreme Court
Leave Hillary in the Senate, I'd like to see her as majority leader. Send Bill to the Court. Too bad John Edwards had the zipper problem; he was my choice for Health and Human Services. I'd make Lieberman ambassador to Iran.

26. I don't think it will be Bill or Hillary
I think Obama will feel compelled to nominate a woman. In fact, I read a news article that listed the five most likely woman to get the nomination. I know gender shouldn't matter but the gender balance on the court I think will make it more likely to be a woman...especially if Ginsberg is the first to leave.

14. I'd much rather she take on the position of Senate Majority Leader.
Considering the current office holder might be better classified as an Invertebrate, we need someone like Senator Clinton in there.

satisfy someone like you. Considering how much she has been out campaigning for Obama, as she promised, your comment is petty and divisive.

12. I would too, actually.
The only reason it was created was to distract from the fact that the overall manager of the Federal Govt. was asleep at the switch. "We need to make sure all these intelligence agancies report to one guy!" Yeah, we had that, it was the president.

11. Hmmm.
State: Bill Richardson (has demonstrated diplomatic skills)
A.G.: The Waxman
Defense: Clark
Homeland Sec.: Dick Clarke
Interior: Deb Callahan

These are a few ideas off the top of my head.

I'm afraid I don't know the judiciary outside of this state well enough for a SCOTUS idea. I would want HRC to be a Senate power-broker.

13. Wesley Clark cannot be Secretary of Defense.
He can't hold a civilian military post for 10 years after leaving the military.

17. This is really interesting.... Have to say, disagree on a couple....
Sec Def, I think he sticks with Gates for at least one year. Gates is one of the few good picks Bush has made, and he was forced into it.
Sec State, I'd go with Richarson myself.
I like the Gephardt pick for Sec of Labor.
He will not name a Republican to be Commerce Secretary.
Energy Secretary...... Someone REALLY close to Al Gore.
Love Cleland for Sec of Vet.
NSA.... he will bring in a moderate Republican for this role. I just have a feeling. Someone extremely moderate but with bonafides.
Richard Clark is great, but he himself has admitted that his role pre 911 was a failure. I think Obama will consult him though.

First Supreme Court Nomination will only be Hillary if Hillary wants to be a Supreme Court Justice. If she wants it, she gets it.
