Well, I am going in for a mastectomy for breast cancer on the 27th. I did ab absentee ballot just to be sure I voted in case I would not be well enough on electionday. It turns out according to my doctors that I won't but my vote is IN so I have done my part!

21. Don't know your situation but

I had a partial mastectomy about seven months ago and it went well. This is not the same as a lumpectomy but similar with much more tissue taken out. Mine was done as an out patient, but I was expected to have a lot more problems than I did. I was told that my positive attitude was what helped me do so well, so keep that in mind as you go through your coming days.

Good luck to you and just remember that we breast cancer people are going through this together. It is scary as hell, but we can't let that get to us. We can and will survive this and things will get better. :loveya: :hug:

Edited to add: If you need to, you can borrow my nickname of Brooklyn. 'Tough guy not afraid of anything.' I know I am not a guy, but I am tough as nails. ;)
