Did anyone watch Pat Buchanan on C-Span today?
I was partially asleep and I thought that some of the things that he was talking about sounded like the truth.

He said that outsourcing our jobs will bring this country down in 10 years and I have a gut feeling that he may be on to something with that comment.

I am not a fan of Buchanan at all and I think that he is prejudice but what he had to say about outsourcing didn't sound like prejudism.

1. He was at his best
When differentiating between the war on terror and the occupation of Iraq.

5. I heard him sticking up for Iraq
Then I fell back to sleep.

I had to look at the TV a couple of times because I couldn't believe that it was Buchanan.

2. I saw him on Meet the Press yesterday.
My husband and I couldn't believe that we actually agreed with him on some things, especially the war in Iraq. Will wonders never cease?

4. Did he also say he thought the Vietnam War was a 'noble cause'?
Like he did on Tim Russert's show on Saturday? Even a broken clock...

...America will be a polyglot global empire with no commonality in ten years.

7. Buchanan is a "Populist Republican" like Kevin Phillips.
They tend to be far more honest than the "Corporate Republicans" that control the GOP. I don't always agree with them, but I do respect them.

8. I may disagree with Buchanan on most issues,
but he does have my respect for saying what he believes, rather than repeating word-for-word the party line mantra like other good Bushbots.

10. So how come he's not being called unpatriotic?
And how come the smearvets aren't all over HIM for lowering the morale of the troops in Iraq?? Hmmmm?

They keep claiming we're not supposed to speak out against a war while it's going on, because they think it hurts the troops' feelings. Are they telling Buchanan to shut up?

11. I can't stand him - He took the side of the Swift Boat Liars
against Kerry. Do not forget, he was also part of the Nixon White House that tried to ruin Kerry in 1971, and he is still trying to get him. Don't donate to this RW scumbag by buying anything he writes.

12. He also said Bush has this thing all but locked up
so I don't particularly pay too much attention when Pat starts talking.
