Democracy for America (Howard Dean's organization) has a weblink (above) to help get out the vote for Obama.

You fill out a short form and enter at least three e-mails of friends and colleagues you'd like to commit to Obama. They get a message to plege to find three others who will pledge, etc. etc.

It's a massive "phone tree" except using e-mail.

You then will get a "tracking page" so you can see who has pledged and who hasn't.

This is a well set-up program, it's self-explanatory, and it only takes a few minutes.

It can make a difference. Try it!

I got my three pledges in one day. And DFA will send you a bumpersticker, "I voted for Obama." How cool is that?

2. What a bunch of keyboard jockies . . . if just one in a hundred on this site
actually did something instead preached to the choir, we might actually get something accomplished.

4. Thanks, but this is something else you can do that doesn't interfere with
anything else you're doing.

5. I must be misunderstanding it.
What am I pledging to do, besides vote? Somehow find 3 people who need rides and take them to the polls?

Just call me confused.

6. People are much more likely to vote if they know that their friends and
neighbors are voting too and care about whether they voted or not.

The idea is that you get three people to commit to vote for Obama and vote early.

Voting early has a whale of a lot of benefits for ourside too.
