The point here is CNN is pretending that Obama signs AREN'T being stolen. Why the fuck are they reporting that McCain signs are being stolen without reporting that Obama signs are also being stolen? It's about the media doing their job and actually being fair to both sides. It's pretty clear that the only thing they are fair to is the idea of a "close race" and they will do their best to portray it as a close race even if it isn't.

It has been kind of interesting watching the sign-stealing unfolding in the neighborhood next to my apartment building. First, one street had a lone Obama sign on one house. Then, some local Repugs must have gotten a shipment when four McCain signs appeared (two on one house). As soon as the McCain signs appeared, the Obama sign disappeared and hasn't been replaced. The house with the two McCain signs has since had one disappear once and not replaced and the other disappear twice and is currently not replaced. Also, a house on a nearby street has both Obama and McCain signs in the same yard (but it's been that way for a couple of weeks now, so I guess it's the owners' intention!), and also has a house with the only Bob Barr sign I've ever seen...
