Orrin Hatch: media Gaga for Obama. Andrea : No, I have to push back on this!
An unhinged Orrin Hatch is blaming the MSM for being Gaga over Obama and for rooting for the Illinois Senator. Andrea Mitchell seemd upset saying she disagreed and she thought McCain won the Debate III but the American people want Obama. Orrin Hatch, moments earlier was attacking Obama's economic plan saying to Andrea: "Your husband agrees with me!" LOL!! Andrea not happy.

Orrin Hatch seems completely unhinged attacking and spinning against Obama; he calls it "high school election". Can someone give old Orrin a Xanax?

5. Every time he opens his mouth I'm embarrassed to admit that I live in Utah.
He'll never be voted out though, unfortunately. The RepubliMormons love him.

3. why do they always dump on Andrea?
She's one of the hardest working McCain shills out there.

Heh, AC360 does a "10 people most responsible for the financial crisis" segment every night on their show, adding a new person each night. Greenspan and Phil Gramm are both there.

4. Then Hatch is admitting that he has very little sway over public opinion
He's admitting that he's a failed politician and has no influence. He appears in the media and has the chance to sway the mind of the public, as he did just now on MSNBC, but it's something he apparently can't do.

He should have jumped ship like Powell, et. al. He's a fool to hang his hat on Mooselini and not call her out.

8. McCain's media coverage should fucking get negative......
Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 08:43 PM by FrenchieCat
as it only reflects his own campaign's tone.

When Mcliesalot spews bullshit 24/7, it should be countered. The media doesn't fucking work for the McCain campaign. When someone is running a fucked up campaign full of lies, they should be called on it.

And when candidates tell the media to go fuck themselves and attacks them daily, then the media can do what its gonna do.

Welcome to the world of how the Press generally treats Democratic candidates. We are used to it. Now you may need to.

Too bad ya'll couldn't come up with a better candidate who wasn't such an old ass tired ass dumbass stupid ass "I can get it done" "I've done it" piece of shit.

How's that?

12. Yes, but isn't the "corporate media" supposed to give a free pass to Republicans?
has the "corporate-media-is-pro-Republican" meme then been debunked?

Are you saying the media is fair? If so, why is there a thread linking a media matters article that accused the media of spreading "right wing" propaganda? It's about a Newsweek article by the editor, I believe.

17. The corporate media usually is more pro-republican than pro-democratic.
But the members of the corporate media are good Americans who love their country and when American is attacked by grotesquely evil, power mad, turd eating republicans the members of the corporate media feel obligated to defend their country.

22. If they were so pro-American, why did they did what they do to Kerry and Gore?
2008 is very different from 2004 and 2000.

And I ask you: Has the term "right-wing corporate media" been debunked?

24. Bush did not run as an anti-American Reich wing republican.
He ran first as a moderate, compassionate conservative, America loving republican (an obvious lie in retrospect) and he ran for re-election as a fear mongering, the terrorists are hiding under your bed, don't switch horses in mid-stream, stupid but relatively harmless, incumbent republican.

McCain is running as an anti-American turd. Palin is the tongue bath toilet paper to McCain's shit smeared anus. The press loves America. Ergo, the press hates McCain and his anal tongue bath.

11. McCain's coverage is negative because he, like all Reich wing republicans,
are constantly and exclusively spouting anti-American hate mongering bullshit. How do you give positive coverage to a disease ridden, pus filled, America hating, anal boil? And the Shadow Governor Dude's woman is even worse. McCain and Palin have earned every minute of their coverage.

19. That article leaves out some very pertinent points. Color me surprised
that AP misrepresented the results. Here are some highlights you've missed:

"Coverage of Obama began in the negative after the conventions, but the tone switched with the changing direction of the polls. The most positive stories about him were those that were most political—the ones focused on polling, the electoral map, and tactics.

For McCain, coverage began positively, but turned sharply negative with McCain’s reaction to the crisis in the financial markets. As he took increasingly bolder steps to try and reverse the direction of the polls, the coverage only worsened. Attempts to turn the dialogue away from the economy through attacks on Obama’s character did hurt Obama’s media coverage, but McCain’s was even more negative.

Coverage of Palin, in the end, was more negative than positive. In all, 39% of Palin stories carried a negative tone, while 28% were positive, and 33% were neutral. Contrary to what some suggested, little of the coverage was about Palin’s personal life (5%).

Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden was nearly the invisible man. His had just one large moment, the vice presidential debate, which also offered his only positive or neutral contribution. Aside from that week, the limited coverage he did receive was far more negative than Palin’s, and nearly as negative as McCain’s."

http://www.journalism.org/node/13307

So McCain's negative stories were of his own doing. The media isn't even covering Biden, unless it's negative. And Palin, despite the yowling of many on the right, is getting pretty mixed coverage, and very little of it deal with her personal life.

18. I am so sick of these people whining about the media.
It's been going on since Reagan. If they want better media coverage (something I don't think is even possible) then they should try being better. They are so childish it's embarrassing.

Orrin, here's one for you. GROW UP WHINER! When they start treating you like they treat liberals or anyone not from a "small town", then you can start complaining.

When they run clips 24/7 of the AIP leader and Palin's and McCain pastors saying 30 seconds of the most controversial things they've ever said, and they ask ad nauseum "can a woman really win?" or "is America ready for a woman VP" or "is there a Susan B. Anthony effect?" then maybe Orrin will have a point.

Jesus ... if I hear one more time today that "Obama's going to Hawaii because they've just about nailed down his fake birth certificate and he has to stop them" ... I'm going to scream!

The Pugs have lost their little minds!

Get a job, GOP. Just get a real job. Lead, follow or get out of the way (and since you've shown you CANNOT lead ... just get the hell out of Obama's way and let him have a chance at straightening out your fucked-up MESS!)
