Does anyone else think that Palin is positioning herself to take Ted Stevens' seat?

She knows they have no chance of winning, so she's positioning herself to slide into Ted Stevens' soon-to-be-vacant Senate seat. Closing arguments in his federal trial start tomorrow. If he's convicted, Alaskans will hold a special election to fill his seat.

Maybe that's why she's freelancing on the campaign trail, saying things that McCain specifically disagrees on.

Poor Sarah actually believes that the Alaska she left in August is the same Alaska she'll return to next month - one that likes her.
