Is it safe to say NO October surprise?
Is it too late for McCain to pull an October surprise?

There are less than 2 weeks, and many people have already voted.

Don't October surprises usually occur earlier in the month?

1. I'd like to see the terms "october surprise" and "bradley effect" retired
along with "rovian" "joe anything" and "toss-up"

2. Why would they be pulling out of states if they had a surprise?
But, maybe they will finally find the famous "Whitey" tape.

3. There wasn't one two years ago, there ain't going to be one now.
And I don't even think the bin Laden tape four years ago was an October Surprise.

Is the real last October Surprise Bush's DUI in 2000?

6. It's safe to say the surprises backfired.
The Russia/Georgia War and the "Rescue" Plan both made McCain look worse. Those were their attempts. They just screwed up so badly that no one believes anything they say now.

7. I'd say the Ayers thing was the Rethugs attempt at an October Surprise.
And you know what I think of their October Surprise?

9. The October Surprise Was the Great Voter Purge
It will be a "November surprise" for a lot of voters.

How many voters will be turned away because they have been purged from the voting rolls?

10. The voter purges plus the high occurence rate of those pesky "toggling" electronic voting machines
is probably the October surprise.

11. It's a trap!
Rove's surprise was to not have a surprise so we would spend the whole month getting ready for a surprise. Rove is a genius.
