McCain campaign paid Republican operative accused of voter fraud
John McCain paid $175,000 of campaign money to a Republican operative accused of massive voter registration fraud in several states, it has emerged.

As the McCain camp attempts to tie Barack Obama to claims of registration irregularities by the activist group ACORN, campaign finance records detailing the payment to the firm of Nathan Sproul, investigated several times for fraud, threatens to derail that argument.

The documents show that a joint committee of the McCain-Palin campaign, the Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party, made the payment to Lincoln Strategy, of which Mr Sproul is the managing partner, for the purposes of “voter registration”.

Mr Sproul has been investigated on numerous occasions for preventing Democrats from voting, destroying registration forms and leading efforts to get Ralph Nader on ballots to leach the Democratic vote.

Why would they pay someone to do these things in--California???

We're ahead by 15 points, and have been since the primaries ended.

This is what I am concerned about---a big surprise in some state that we never suspected.

It's very troubling to hear about the voting snafus in New Mexico that have been discovered.
Snopes.com confirms it too. This isn't just paranoia. Some people voting straight Dem ticket are
finding that their presidential choice has been switched to John McCain.

This is happening on paper ballots that are read by optical-scan machines.

Iowa has optical-scan machines. McCain is behind by 12-14 points, yet he is visiting three
Iowa cities this weekend, with Palin. McCain has spent a lot of time in Iowa.

I can't help but wondering if they are planning on stealing states that no one has their
eye on.

I think New Mexico could be a clue to what is going on.

One has to wonder why McCain has spent so much time in Iowa--when clearly he is not liked here--at all.
Eight visits to little old Iowa in the past month. We only have 8 electoral votes. However, it looks
like our machines are hackable--so he's spending time here to justify the disparity between his pre-election
14-point loss in the polls, "Yes, we were behind! But we spent a lot of time there!"

I bet if we looked into McCain's campaign schedule--we'd probably see that he's spending a lot of
time in states that have optical scanners that read paper ballots.

2. He needs every single swng state or he'll lose
After giving up on several, the ones that are left are makers or breakers for him. Where else would he campaign?
