My apologies if this has been posted. Concern trolls in the news!
From Roger Simon at Politico

http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20081022/pl_politico/14800

<<The Democrats are poised on the brink of victory. And they cannot stand it. The news is too good. Something has to go wrong.

On Saturday, Charlie Cook, an independent analyst and author of the Cook Report, wrote: “This election isn’t over, but it is looking very bad for Republicans — and seems to be getting worse.”

This plunged the Democrats into a deep gloom. Good news is always bad news for them. >>

1. I think he's right! We've been cheated & lied to for sooo long,
we're afraid to get too elated because the let down is far too painful to have to deal with again.

2. This sentence makes me think we are not used to winning.
"Good news is always bad news for them." Too long, we have been the underdog.

5. Good news isn't bad news, it's that, you don't talk about landslides and so on and brag and so on...
But it's good news, no doubt in my mind. Bragging about this wouldn't be the sensible thing to do... now would it?

8. Who is the guy in your sig line - center with white shiirt and red tie?
I have the rest figured out. But that guy in the white shirt looked like Reagan to me and I can't seem to clear my head of that. I thought maybe RFK but I'm not confident of that.

10. It's Bill Clinton
The image is "True Blues" by artist Andy Thomas. It's the dogs-playing-poker concept, but with Presidents. (and, sadly, he did paint the other side as well in a work called "Grand Old Gang".

Working around the table: JFK standing, Bill Clinton, Woodrow Wilson, LBJ, Harry Truman, Andrew Jackson (back to the viewer), FDR, and Jimmy Carter. Let us hope that, soon, they will have to make another seat at the table.

9. He's right. Even in 2006, we were predicting doom up until the final hour
and when we swept the House and Senate we were still blinking in amazement.

12. I laughed
After the last two Presidential Elections, it's hard to accept that we might simply win.
