Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 10:44 AM by peacetrain
You just can't make this stuff up.. today on talk radio it will be all about how Palins wardrobe will be donated to charity after the election. How long did it take them to think that one up..fly by the seat of your pants strikes again

1. Damage control
won't work on this one

with people worrying about their jobs, and Xmas coming, no way does this do anything but piss the undecided off.

From what we've seen of the queen, she's a taker (per diems, travel for family) not a giver.

3. Yes, the unwashed masses should be happy with hand me downs
Think of the good that MONEY could have done if it had been directly donated to a food pantry somewhere?

12. Charities need 150k in clothes
Yup. And if they can buy a Bugatti and donate that to charity that'll be sweet too. Ah well, at least the undecided voters will be upset by this. But if you can make it this long and not decide then you probably don't follow the news anyway.

17. I really wouldn't care what they spent, except
conservatives made such a big deal of Kerry and Edwards spending lots on clothes and haircuts. They even made fun of Kerry for marrying a "sugar mama." HELLO!!! What about Cindy McCain?

Anyway, one defense I saw on FR fits those people to a T. Palin's a woman so it's OK for her to spend a lot on clothes and hair and makeup. But Edwards' haircut was not OK because he's a man and no man needs a $400 haircut. Makes you girly, don't you know (their words, not mine).

PS -- Personally I don't think anybody NEEDS a $400 haircut, but, hey, it's his money.

18. Sure...right....so that is why they announced this....
...when they spent the money on her clothes and not just merely after they got outed on this. So...how are they gonna donate the $4K worth of hair and make-up shit? Scrape it off her face? Bleed the dye out of her hair? Inquiring minds want to know.

Just what every Goodwill shopper needs...a $3K red leather jacket once worn by the 2008 losing candidate for VP of the US.

Who the fuck do they think they are kidding? :eyes:

22. Yes. They will leave her scent on the garments and glad-handers like Limbaugh, Hannity...
and lobbyist neocon war profiteers supporting McCain will pay MILLIONS of dollars for them pressing them to their faces breathing in 'essence of palin' before laying down in bed beside them like sick, whimpering forlorn puppies

Oh and BTW, the charities will likely be they such as these:

26. I love that quote
"With all of the important issues facing the country right now, it’s remarkable that we’re spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses."

Yeah! I mean, come on! Why are we wasting time talking about pantsuits and blouses when we could be talking about the really important issues? You know, like Bill Ayers? :sarcasm:
