Oh Snap: Look at How Blue It Can Be
Since McSame is telling us that PA is up for grabs even though Obama is up by 12 points there (see electoral-vote.com); I decided to flip all the states that McSame is currently up in the polls by 12 points or less.

If 12 points or fewer is up for grabs, then here's a snapshot of how blue America could be after election day.

OH SNAP!

34. I think TX could go blue...you have to wonder if some say they're for McCain...
...but when it comes down to pushing the button, they go with Obama! (*I can wish, can't I?*) :~)

45. You know, if the Obama campaign would spend even just a little time
in Texas, I think they could flip it. But they have done zero campaigning here.

9. No way TX, SC, and SD go blue
Too damn many mouthbreathing, Faux watching Repugs in those states. They would vote for Hitler if he ran as a Republican.

AR, MS, GA, and ND, maybe.

11. Exactly
The OP is saying if McCain can win PA we can win states like TX or SC. And as you stated we can't, which in turn means McCain can not win PA. McCain's last stand in PA is just an excuse to continue to campaign because it leaves a mathematically possible route to victory. It would be like Obama being behind and campaigning in TX to show he could still get 270 if only he wins there.

12. Interesting to note ...
Just which states are truly hardcore red.

LA, KY, and TN voted BLUE in '92 & '96, and AZ was BLUE in '96.

Even AK has been seeing some light in polls. No doubt it would be closer if their inept governor wasn't on the ticket w/ McSame.

The darkest red states seem to be UT, OK, ID, WY, NE, AL, and KS. Even at that, there are Democrats who have won in local races in those states, except maybe Utah ... isn't that a intellectual black hole?

McSame is up in Utah 64% to 28% right now. Shrub won Utah in '04 71/26. If everything works out and Obama wins, I have to wonder if Utah will leave the union! They must really be lost in that state.

14. Wha?

I'm not saying it will be blue, I'm just trying to point out that if McSame can tout around that PA could be red when Obama is up in polls by 12, then I can take a look at what the election outcome would look like if Obama flips all the states that McSame is only up by 12 or less.

Wanna toke?

I just drove through Mississippi last week. Now there is a state that needs to go blue, but they consistently vote against their own self interests.

http://www.iftheworldcouldvote.com/results

The only spot of true red is in Macedonia; too small to see on the world map. Otherwise the worst you get is a bit of purple.

Mark.

47. Yep. Tennessee and Louisiana are far more likely to go blue
than Mississippi and South Carolina.

Tennessee and Louisiana are purple in their state governments.

I live in Tennessee and we have five Dem US congressmen to four Republican and a Dem governor and a majority of Dems in the General Assembly.

43. By Popular Demand ...
This is as blue as it gets.

I've flipped all that are within 12 points (including far reaching recent polls), and flipped all that have voted blue in Presidential elections anytime since 1980. This really exposes what states are red to the core and almost beyond hope.

44. Nebraska's 2nd District
Wow, I didn't realize that polling has things as a deadheat between Obama and McSame in Nebraska's 2nd District, which could give Obama another electoral vote.

Early voting is brisk in Omaha and Democratic registration is up.

Sen. Clinton spoke in Omaha not long ago.

Nebraska's 2nd District could turn a little part of Nebraska BLUE!!!!!

He he he he he heeeeee
