McCain campaign is desperate. Visiting in Durango, CO a smallish town
with fewer than 50,000 residents in the entire county. You can't tell me they aren't worried about our 9 electoral votes. We have never had a presidential candidate within 200 miles of here!

Also, check out the fun poll on the bottom left!

1. I love Durango.
I grew up in Dallas, but my family went to Durango one Christmas just to get away and we loved it so much we ended up going back a few more times. Don't you have a ski resort called Purgatory?

But yeah, they're desperate. Been desperate. Next they'll campaign in rural Texas, LOL!

11. My dad WORE that joke OUT. He got a shirt there that said
something about how he had been to Purgatory and about lost a kidney laughing so hard over it. Wore it until it fell apart. Forced people to laugh at it when they didn't laugh hard enough.

He drank.

But anyway. LOL.

2. That's what is usually referred to as a flyover town in a flyover state
Most people (especially in urban areas) don't even know places like that exist. And they have never existed for politicians during a campaign.

3. Isn't Durango in the mountains?
Isn't his plane too large for any nearby airport?

5. The real reason they are there is to fundraise with the GOP fat cats in that town
The RNC needs money, money, money. Oh, and the free and cheap local press, too.

a break from the desert so we headed up to Durango and did the touristy Silverton/Durango train ride. We loved it. What a pretty place.
