Anyone else think WardrobeGate is just a ruse...
...just so Caribou Barbie can do a striptease in front of hundreds of her fans?

You know, "Ya think I pay too much for my clothes, do ya? Well, I guess I'd better take 'em off! Piece by piece! (wink)"

Wa wa waaaaaaaah, wa wa wa waaaaaaah.....

IT'S A TRAP!!!1!!

4. I don't know, but I think it's stupid to be spending this much time talking about it.

5. Let me guess: do you say the same about the continued claims of "elitism"?
It's a pretty striking contrast to talk about, to be quite honest. Sure, there are more important issues at stake, but this is a major point to drive home to dispel the whole "elitism" charge that McCain keeps bringing up.

7. Why? If they've used campaign funds to buy her wardrobe, what will they do with tax dollars?
It's a perfect example of their frivolous spending and their attitude that the rules don't apply to them.

9. Her clothing is a campaign expense.
They had to dress up the pig. What rules? Are there any rules as to what can/can not be charged to the campaign? Legally?

11. There has to be some reason they are going to donate them.
If it was such common practice and widely accepted we wouldn't be having this conversation and it wouldn't have been a story. They wouldn't have had to come out and say the clothing was going to be donated after the election. It could be a moral issue more than rule, but whatever the reason, it's excessive and shows their lack of understanding, even of their own base, that they would make such great expenditures.

12. Someone just posted a link to this. There appears to be some questions on legality.

13. I'm pretty sure you can't use campaign funds for personal clothing or grooming
That's why Edwards quickly refunded the $400 for the haircut.
